I never asked to be the main character in your story— that would have been selfish of me.

But would it have been so selfish to have had some of the screen time? Would it have been so ridiculous that when it finally came time for my monologue to be spoken into the airwaves, it would have been met by something different than: “wait, omg. Did I tell you about MYYYY day?”

And when I reflect on not just YOU, but also… you… and how you cried every day speaking about how you skin tore like paper. And I cried with you. Hoping it was what you needed to glue it all back together.

And for You— I listened to you whisper your secret of lusting after another man while you were so unhappily with yours. You never listened to my advice, and when he found out the half-truth, I supported you though I knew you didn’t deserve it. Though I knew he deserved to hear all of it before deciding to stay with you. Years later I see you’re picking out your oval stone, and wondering if you consider what color or fabric I might like to wear.

And to all of you: there are so many. All of you so different and still the same. With your disappointments. For when I needed support, YOU, you, You were no where to be found. When you finally get everything you want, when you finally are at peace, there is no room for me.

3. … maybe a Hot Take given I do not believe we are or should be done with the TGI era….but merely an ANNOUNCEMENT to “Return to Badlands” — deep in The Lucid Motel, hidden in the creaking boards of Room 93, lies the second part of the story. Does our heroine dare to go back to save those pages?

4. A tall order, but matching fan tattoos in three phases:

- the original lightening match fans. A reunion. Did anyone add a flame? Does anyone feel like they can now?

- a new tattoo (I volunteer, Halsey 😭) with a meet up for 5 people to get matching tattoos together

- fan submitted flash tattoo ideas. Halsey picks her favorite designs and tags the original artist/s. Everyone can go on X day to get the “matching” tattoos should they choose.

5. A private and intimate show. No costumes. No set. No fire. Let’s just sit on the floor and kumbaya to poetry. (Can I throw Chicago into the rink? But this will probably go to LA… understandable lol).
