So far we’ve learned the following:

- That Gillian has a picture of her and her man as her lock screen

- That she looks amazing

- That she was given a chocolate penis and vibrator.

- Long sigh…

- That she’s wonderful and kind

- The wigs have names and the longer one bugged the shit out of her

- Mark Mann was for no reason

- She questions whether fans know the show isn’t real

- London theater 2019 baby

- Russian character coming soon

- She didn’t whisper anything into David’s ear in the church scene

- Continuinity doesn’t exist on the show — they added a line about the hair cut.

It was easier than he expected, getting the cameras up and linked with the wifi. He got a little more sun than he intended. Scully’s gonna give him a hard time about not putting on sunscreen.

The screen door squeals his return to the house and he drops to unlace his boots so he doesn’t track mud everywhere.

“Didja get ‘em up?” Scully asks from the couch.

“Yep,” he says as he peels out of his socks, tucking them inside the mouth of his left boot and leaving the whole sodden mess by the door.

He rounds the couch and finds her curled on her side, eyes closed and a worry line carved between her eyebrows. Her fists are clenched tight and her mouth is drawn in a thin line.

“Hey, you okay?” he asks.

“M’fine, it’s just cramps,” she sighs.

“Did you take anything?” he asks.

“Just a nap,” she answers, a ghost of a smile drifts by.

Having been told, mostly off-camera, by Skinner that William was conceived thanks to CSM and not Mulder, she is suddenly finewith her son getting murdered. And after years and years of dramatic stories involving her motherly devotion, Scully suddenly decides William was only “an experiment” and declares “I was never a mother to him.”

Okie dokie.

But wait, there’s more! Mulder, oozing with fatherly feelings this episode, is devastated at William’s death, asking, “What am I now if not a father?” (Uh, you barely cared about William previously and you’re still lots of things, Mulder.) To which Scully replies, “You are a father” and places his hand on her stomach.

Christ on a cracker. Chris Carter let Scully languish this entire episode only to use her as a baby vessel again. Because, you know, that’s apparently all she’s good for.
