APRIL 2026
Hi guys,
I just wanted to give another update. I’m so sorry that I haven’t gotten the translations out yet. I am still planning to continue them, and I have not given up. I know I only have a couple parts of the translations posted so far, but I really want to get more out.
My plan is to post three new parts in July 2026, starting during the second week of July, with one part coming out each week. That way, you’ll be able to have new translations every week.
I’ve also seen that there are a bunch of new English games coming to Switch, as well as some new Japanese releases, so I’m working on compiling a list of all of them to post here for you guys. I hope to have that out by the end of May as well.
I know things have been really slow, and it may seem like I’ve gone inactive, but I promise I haven’t. I have not forgotten about this blog. I’ve just been extremely busy.
I also wanted to make more fun Diabolik Lovers posts because there has been a resurgence of the Diabolik Lovers anime on social media. Throughout the month of May, I’ll be posting a couple funny posts about that.
That’s my plan for the next couple of months. If there’s anything you guys would like to see, please let me know. I have also updated my upcoming review section and upcoming schedule, and I might add one mobile game in there as well, so we’ll see.
The Diabolik Lovers game is much darker than the anime, just to warn you, since you talk about the anime a lot.
I'm kind of sick of talking about this. I know and understand, but you'll also see I only watched the anime to get interested. I know what happens in detail and am not deterred by the dark and mature content. I understand the games are not for everyone, but I'm fine with that.
Nintendo E-Shop Summer Sale!
Hi guys, I haven't been playing too much recently, but the Nintendo eShop has an insane sale: 50-80% off most otome games! If you have a switch and have been wanting to grab some English otome, now is a great time to do so!
The sale ends in about a week, so go check out the games. Most of them are $15 on average, which is such a STEAL from $40-60
So grab that game you've been eyeing and date some hot anime husbandos!
Volontés Otome Game English Kickstarter Campaign
Hi everyone! I just wanted to let you all know about an otome game currently available on the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop that is aiming to get an English localization through Kickstarter.
English localization and international release for the dark Japanese Otome game Volontés.
Here’s a quote from the official campaign:
“This is a localization project for the Nintendo Switch otome game Volontés, which was released in Japan on May 22, 2025. Volontés is a Dark Fantasy × Suspense otome game in which the main character, who has lost everything, finds her way of life while facing tragedy.
Product details can be found on our official site: https://loca.games/volontes/
We need your support to launch the game worldwide. If the campaign is successfully funded, we aim to achieve the following: – English localization for Nintendo Switch – PC (Steam) port as a stretch goal
By supporting us with your pledge, you can get the game at a special discounted price.”
This is an amazing opportunity to support indie game companies in Japan so they can continue creating more otome games. Additionally, the success of English-localized otome games may help convince larger Japanese companies to localize their titles, especially since the otome market in Japan is currently struggling.
Remember, if you want more otome games, you have to support the companies that make them and this is a great way to do just that.
The Kickstarter also includes the game’s story, which I’ll share below:
“It is an era shrouded in darkness, where the world is sealed off, and a deadly plague ravages the land. A peaceful village is ruthlessly attacked by a knightly order, leaving your home destroyed and your family murdered.
Saved by a mysterious figure, you're led to a magical city floating on the sea. There, the stranger proclaims you to be the Moon Witch, destined to guide the people to prosperity. But amidst your newfound safety and status, turmoil begins to brew. A sudden death sends shockwaves through the kingdom, friends turn on each other, alliances falter, and blades begin to clash. You yearn to end the cycle of tragedy and forge a lasting peace.
As tensions escalate, the time will soon come to decide whom to trust and which path to tread to witness the unfolding of your fate.”
I truly hope you’ll consider supporting the Kickstarter. They’ve been very transparent about how the funds will be used, and the page includes a lot of questions, answers, and extra perks for backers. This project could mark a big shift in the localization landscape for otome games. Let's help make it happen!
The Kickstarter has been fully funded!!! This means the Game Volantes will come out in english sometime late 2026!!!.
If you cant wait you can play it on the switch in japanese!

Also, Yuma was so low on the ranking list because his dub voice made him sound like an old man, and he called Yui "little pig," like, ok, weirdo. But the art makes him look younger. I haven't heard his Japanese Va yet (apparently he's in a massive scandal too) but I can't shake the thought that Yuma is 40 yrs old redneck guy. 🤣
Tell me this guy isn't 40^
Diabolik lovers Mukami Brothers ranking (pre game)
Since my other post was so fun, let's do the Mukami brothers again. This is based on the anime and knowing pretty much what happens in more blood and the backstories, and this is based on how interested I am in their routes, I'll re-update when I play more blood.
1.Azusa
2.Kou
3.Ruki
4.Yuma
I've heard Kou's route is just terrible, but the after stories and dark fate redeem him a bit; he's also apparently the most popular character in China 🙂
How did you buy your vita I want to get one to play otome games
I bought mine on Amazon when they were still in production. Now, it's only resale, but it's still on Amazon.
I don't know if I'd recommend it 100%. I'm not about modding or jailbreaking mine. If it's only for playing Otome games, go to mobile, Steam, or Switch. There are very few popular Vita-only games now. If you have $200-300 to spend, go for it. But if you want English games, don't.
If you want to play Japanese games, maybe, but nothing works on the Vita anymore: email, web, chat, and the PlayStation store. The content manager is partially broken, too, so there's no chance of getting your CGS off the Vita.
Have you ever played ikemen series
Nope. I gave up on gacha a long time ago, and I don't like mobile games very much.
why is subaru so low on your ranking hes the best boy
He just never spoke to me. In the anime, he was okay, and I thought he would be different, but then he just bit Yui… I haven't played the game or read his manga, so it may change. However, I find the characters of the triplets (mostly Ayato and Kanato) the most intriguing, and Shu is the sweetest of all of them. I don't dislike Subaru at all, though, and I do plan to play his route!

ever heard of emulators
Next time Refer to my FAQ or Blog Rules before sending in an ask
Yeah, and it's a 50/50 toss-up if they work. Playing the game on the designated platform is the safest way to play and the best way to support the developers.
Suppose you're talking about Diabolik lovers, if it worked for you, great. However, my FAQ states that I only support the legal and designated way to play games. And I'll never encourage people to download something that may or may not work to play a game, rather than give them the best way to understand the story and characters without having actually to play the game if they can't
Otome Games that everyone says are bad that I still want and why
Ozmafia!!!:
What can I say? I'm a sucker for a Wizard of Oz-themed game. The premise is super cool Wizard of Oz meets mafia meets Brothers Grimm fairy tales, with Satoi as the artist. What could go wrong?
Well, apparently everything. The general consensus is that the game sucks. The MC has no personality, and thanks to the NTR routes, she cheats on the love interests way too easily. Most of the heroes don’t fully love the MC or it’s unclear if they do. The plot is thin, and the brothel route is traumatizing.
So why would I still want to play it? Remember all that cool stuff I mentioned earlier? Yeah, that still holds true. Ozmafia was one of the first real otome games I ever heard about, and you can't imagine how frustrated I was to find out it couldn’t be played on Mac. I also never got around to importing it on PS Vita, but thanks to the virtual Nintendo eShop, I finally plan to pick it up. I'm not a big fan of completing every single route, so I’ll just do the ones and endings I like. (Doing this with trash games minimizes the pain.)
Chouchou Jiken: Lovesodic:
Okay, so this one apparently has a manga? I tried to find it but only got a few chapters, and honestly, I'm still kind of confused about the plot. Pretty privilege is real, because the art and atmosphere are just so enticing.
I’ve heard the only good route is Haruka’s, and they totally gave the poster boy the most boring, unromantic route of all (except for Lori but his is just creepy). I want to play it because the zombie concept sounds interesting and it’s supposed to be plot-heavy. I think I’ve mentioned before that plot holes between routes don’t bother me too much unless they’re super extreme and make no sense. So I’ll give it a shot, especially since I already own the game (time to put my Vita to use :)).
I plan to translate this game anyway (check out my translation schedule!). And since most of the guys are trash anyway, I want to see for myself just how bad it is, lol. Unfortunately, it has locked routes, so I’ll most likely have to play through all the characters but that’s what skip mode is for.
Reine des Fleurs:
The art.
Okay, on a more serious note this game has 40 bad endings. Why would they do that? Especially since most of the bad ends are just slight variations of each other. Honestly, when I read the reviews, it didn’t seem that bad. The only ones who seemed straight-up stupid were the blond dude and the guy with the monocle. Herbert? Whatever his name is.
The plot confused me a lot, especially the whole goddess aspect. I still can't tell if she wants to help the MC, stop her, or just wait to take over her body. Unless I have to, there is NO WAY I’m completing all the bad ends I value my sanity. But I do still want to play it through.
The system gets a lot of complaints, so I’m hoping I can find a good walkthrough and just skip through the annoying parts.
Diabolik Lovers: More Blood:
Last but not least, the game that makes almost everyone cry. This one is supposed to be awful, and Rejet basically had to spend all of Dark Fate fixing the damage done by this game. The guys crank up the abuse to like, 100,000, and just straight-up torment Yui.
Unfortunately, this also introduces the Adam and Eve plotline and the Mukami brothers. And unlike HDB, Dark Fate picks up directly after More Blood, based on the vampire endings (minus a few). It also establishes a ton of relationships that are important for the rest of the series even if 80% of each route is just pure abuse.
Still, I can’t bring myself to skip it. I might not play every route, but I at least need to do Shu, Ayato, and Azusa. And before y’all come for me I got the Switch Grand Edition 2 for the price of one, okay? ;) If I need to, I’ll just skip most of it, because even in the anime, the Mukamis never entertained me the way the Sakamakis did. I kept thinking, bring me back to the Sakamaki house. I can't even remember who the villains are in More Blood... I think it’s just the other characters?
But I have to at least try. (The skip button will probably be overused by the end.)
Wait is there any way to play diabolik lovers I want to know the stories
The games are on ps vita and Switch, with most of them being ported to Switch, and one Switch exclusive. They can be found on Nintendo eShop. Amazon, play Asia, onemap, Cdjapan
If you can't read Japanese. The best bet is to watch the anime to get the general context. Then, the games, mostly HDB, have video playthroughs on YouTube. There's also a manga that goes through the HDB and More Blood routes, two parts per guy. But some of these guys are missing (Kanato, Kou, Azusa). TBH, I think the manga is more romantic in the Ayatos route than the game, and Yui has a lot of personality in it!(edit: she also has a lot of personality in the games but personally manga yui is my favorite) Then, the wiki has a lot of backstories for the guys and the stories. Finally blogs have posted recaps and reviews on the games so read those.
It's not the same as playing the game, but it gets you all the info for the games. Tbh, the game tends to drag a bit in the intro sections, and so many guys find the information on the few you want, and you'll be fine
UPDATES 6/21/2025
New post coming soon!!!!!!
so excited something to hold you over until my next review
also check up my upcoming page for the newest plans for reviewing i change it everytime i change plans...
Saitos route does say July 2025 it may or may not be pushed back again. I'm not feeling great right now
why wont you translate all in one piece why are you splitting up the chapters
i usually queue my questions to have even positing but i decided to answer this in the nicest way. I translate for free. It takes a long time. I have to play the game and basically write down every single line and who said it. then i go through and make sure its as smooth translation as possible. I get tired. I dont want to do it all at once. But i also want to get translations out as fast as possible. spending a few hours/days at a time getting a translation ready vs. spending a full week of my time. I can get the shorter translations out faster to you and not get so burnt out. Most of the people reading the translations wont play the full game themselves because they wouldn't need a translation if they could play it. if you're trying to learn japanese and need to use translations why not start on a game thats been fully translated already or has easier japanese. translation projects take years to do. Im trying to get as much done as possible.

Do you think Diabolik Lovers will come out in English?
No. Rejet is very anti localization.
Something I really hate with otome games is a complicated system. The game is mostly reading why make it confusing… when the walkthrough is confusing that's when I know its time to drop it
