good god im 19 now

i kinda felt like posting an update even though i imagine nobody really pays attention to this blog anymore given it's been inactive for years. i felt like posting something anyways, as i was going through my old posts and i wanted to add an update. maybe for moreso my future self than anything. since running away from home my life has gotten steadily better every year. it's been a lot of work and stress and just...effort but it's getting to a point i really like. i got into the university of michigan after attending community college (online) during covid, and i've been going there since. it's kinda strange to exist with people who haven't had to deal with the things i've did. they got to where they were by following everything their parents and school told them, and i got to where i was by painfully breaking all of that. so there's a disconnect there that i'm slowly getting better at covering. some are easier than others. it's also been nice to be apart of a university that just has a lot of things to do. staying busy helps me forget everything else. it also makes me feel like i'm working towards something. i've been enjoying learning how to code and build synthesizers. started a punk coverband too. we're still trying to get a first show. my partner has always been with me through all of this. it's strange just how natural his presence feels in my life. i wish i could let him know how much he means to me every day. i don't think he gets it. but anyways, that's a little update for future me to read. not sure if i'll post much more beyond this, the work i'm doing doesn't really translate well to social media. websites and synths and concert visuals and stuff. but if you're in ann arbor or at UM, DM me and come say hey! it'd be cool to find more people. that's really all i care about at the end, anyways.
