it’s so frustrating to me that the “women are always nagging” stereotype only exists because straight men are entirely clueless when it comes to the needs of a home, and it falls on us to delegate what has to be done. like you would be surprised how little nagging you’d have to hear if you simply already knew what chores to do, how and when to do them, and just DID them without having to be told or shown. and that’s not asking a lot. that’s literally just asking you to be a functioning adult, in a partnership.

“Just let me know what I can do” is not helpful. Knowing what to do is helpful. If you don’t want to be in a relationship with someone who’s bossy, step up so that they don’t have to be your manager.

I do not like Films. I have seen 17 of the Films on that list of great films and I hated ten of them. I do not wish to see any more

One of my exes made me watch a shitton of Criterion Collection movies so I feel this like.......a lot.

my cat hates taking his pills. the only way we can get him to eat them is to turn it into an elaborate pantomime - we take the packet out of the cupboard slowly and hold it up, saying “oh!! what’s this? what’s this? a TREAT? a TREAT for louis????” while making surprised faces. we offer him a pill… then, before he has a chance to sniff it, we wag our fingers at him and replace it in the packet so it becomes a Tantalising Forbidden Mystery. we continue doing this until he’s so confused and excited that he will eat the pill as fast as possible, just so he can find out what it is before we can take it away from him again. as soon as he’s eaten it he looks utterly disappointed and betrayed, like a child who just ate a delicious sweet only to find it was a chocolate-coated brussels sprout. it never gets old

i am stupid but smart at the same time in the same way dogs are very good learners but will still eat grass ravenously until they get sick and will run into glass doors
