** ♔ announcing LENA BOLESLAWA , the THE QUEEN OF POLAND! in a recent portrait they seem to resemble FLORENCE PUGH. it is a miracle that SHE survived the last five years and for that reason, they are FOR the kingdoms working together. reflecting on them now, they remind me of BLUE MOON, ORANGE SMELL AND SHARP BLADES.

⊰ it’d been a while since she saw the polish queen and how she’d wished that a while would stretch into infinity , allowing her to forget that her country attended the summit as well . yet, it appeared that she was actively seeking her and if narisa didn’t know better she’d have thought lena had a crush on her and that’s why she always seemed to approach her, despite her blatant act of ignoring her presence . “ dear ? ” she raised a brow , her stomach twisting with disgust when she heard a term of endearment spoken by a stranger . “ i must admit you have a sharp eye , i assume the polish curse has not robbed you of the ability to see . ” narisa noted, swinging her glass in circles . “ i might wear it again to another mourning ball , in case a certain king decides to poison another king . wouldn’t it be quite amusing ? having a special dress for whenever someone dies of poisoning ? i am sure you must have many of these or at least plan to purchase them in the future . ”

𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 bored so she did not mind in chat with the Italian queen. The conversation certainly would turn into something unpleasant since this woman has nothing else to say apart from bitter words. It still amazed her, how they bumped into each other. ❛ Ahh, I take it, you prefer buttercups. ❜ A smug smile was on display. ❛ A curse that clearly does not exist. But thankfully I've got good eyesight, contrary to others. ❜ The Polish queen wouldn't let this woman ruins her night or her lifted spirits. The jokes about her HUSBAND. Her smile faltered. ❛ Somebody here CLEARLY believes in any fanfictions, I see. I would worry about the husband of yours. What does he do with the money? Is he a Houdini or something? ❜ Lena took a small sip from her wine and spotted the Italian princess with the Dauphin on the other side of the room. ❛ Maybe if you were nicer, that nun of yours would get something new and finer for you. ❜

the blacksmith had no intention of going inside the palace, he didn’t unless it was to find his room or drop by some of his work to one of his many customers. instead he had opted to sit out on the courtyard watching as royals, nobles and staff left, some having a harder time staying on their feet than others.

he took a mouthful of his own drink, feet perched on the seat of the bench while he sat on the back of it. “ how many of them will still be standing by the end of the night? place your bets. I say less than twenty. ” he bit back a laugh as he watched one man fall flat on his face as he tripped on the last step. “ maybe less. ”

𝐎𝐇! 𝐈𝐒𝐍'𝐓 that Italian queen? Narisa always… Unpleasant. ❛ Hello dear. The night is lovely, isn't it?! ❜ The Polish queen started a small talk with that queen. ❛ I think I saw this dress before. Isn't the one you wore at the Mourning Ball in Switzerland? ❜ She held the chalice in hand.

“ you obviously had better days , you look exhausted and i doubt it is only judyta keeping you awake . ” there were certain things only time could teach you about a person . she’d known lena the day she was born , small hands reaching for even tinier ones when she held her cousin in her arms . then lena grew taller , older and she was walking besides her, yet elsa’s hand would always remain wrapped around tightly hers . they grew up together, shared their worries , their past , presence and future . and now they were even closer,  no distance that would allow the change in her cousin to be hidden . “ you haven’t been acting like yourself and i need you to tell me what worries you . it pains me to see you like this . you know i’m always here for you . ” she squeezed her cousin’s hand , “ i know being a mother is difficult , so is being a wife to a king .” her eyes searched for hers , attempting to find any hint that would reveal her heart . “ is marius not treating you well ? ”

the king wouldn’t dare to wake their daughter now, between himself and lena, judyta surely had inherited the lungs and the attitude of them both combined. he would wait even he would be a little impatient - he would hear it soon enough. “ i can hardly wait. ” marius smiled and let his fingers entwine with his wife’s, his hands gentle as they squeezed, so gentle it was hard to believe he would be capable of the things he had done.

“ i promise, ” he could never stray far from judyta, he wouldn’t have before and he certainly couldn’t now, even when he knew milo would go out of his way to protect her if he needed. “ truthfully? i have no idea i’ve barely left our room, maybe i’m a vampire - i might melt in the sun once i step out in it. ” he grinned and raised their hands so he could kiss the back of hers. finally they stepped out, marius taking the lead to walk down the hall.

𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 following Marius' leads, looking behind seeing their daughter and the staff approaching to make sure the little princess will have all the help she needs when her parents go for a little stroll. As a matter of fact, she didn't remember the last time she had fun with her husband alone. She chuckled at his description of how long he had been cooped up inside the quarters just like her. ❛ The same goes for me. ❜ She hardly goes out for fresh air, mostly because her body at the very beginning needed some recovery after having their daughter. Safe to say, some days she just stayed in bed.

𝐉𝐔𝐃𝐘𝐓𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 having a bad moment again, but this time Lena wasn't confined in a small place with a tiny human being with strong lungs. She was melting from the heat of this country, and now the cries of her daughter were dissipating in the air. She thought fresh air not only would do good for her two-month-old baby but for herself as well. After a moment or two, she sat on the bench near Agnes. ❛ I hope you don't mind, she's so tiny but full of personality. ❜

marius would have preferred to be back in poland but for now there seemed to be little chance of that happening. instead they would have to make the most of portugal, and asides from his run in with the austrain princess things seemed to be of to a better start. “ giggle? i wish i hadn’t missed it. ” the thought of his daughter giggling made his heart happy, happier than it had been in a long time.

he didn’t want to leave judyta alone but their quarters were more secure now they were here, guards on standby and his most trusted one never too far. “ perhaps you and i could take a walk? if you’re up to it of course. we’ll have to grow used to his heat eventually. i’m sure the guards can keep an eye on judyta and one of them can find us if she needs us, we wont go far. ”

𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 excited at the mention of their daughter, despite of the tiredness written on her face. Ever since she knew what her husband had done, she hardly left the side of Judyta. In the beginning, the Polish queen was having difficulty connecting with her daughter but now she is adjusting more to maternity. ❛ You will be able to see them once she awakens. ❜ She says softly, not wanting to wake up her little angel. Upon his request, Lena was having a mental struggle. Part of her didn't want to leave Judyta's side, but another part, she hardly had a moment alone with her husband. She pondered for a brief second... They are on the roads anymore, finally, reaching a place so much safer... Judyta can stay a little while with the securities, right?

after he’d been confronted marius had told himself he wouldn’t speak a word of it, at least not to lena. they were finally starting to make a mends and he wanted nothing to jeopardise that. portugal was a new start for the two of them and their daughter and if anyone were to get in the way of that the king would make sure they were dealt with, perhaps by his own hand. again. nothing would get in the way of their families happiness this time.

“ i was looking for you, ” a grin appeared on the kings face and he stepped towards his wife, his hands finding hers to pull her in towards him. “ what do you think of our new home? ” raising her hand he pressed a kiss to her knuckles and gently squeezed her fingers with his own. “ do you need anything? i hope you can have a good rest now we’re here. ”

𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 counting the seconds to arrive in Portugal. The whole trip was stressful enough for her and her two-month-old child (without counting the issues with her husband). At the least, they are making amends... She was tired of fighting and arguing all the time, she wants is a little peace (not to mention the maternity, she took it very badly at first).  After finishing breastfeeding Judyta fell asleep while eating, she adjusted her clothing and put her daughter on the crib, gingerly, and wrapped her in the blanket around.

he had always admired lena, but to think she was travelling with a small child for the second time now, an unfaltering source of comfort for judyta despite the difficult days and nights, left him in awe of her strength even more. henryk should hope he and layla could leave peace summits behind them once they welcomed their first child into the world, but he knew deep down it was unlikely. he was no king, but a crown prince had duties, too, and their world was far from peaceful. “i should be asking you that question.” he smiled, listening to her gentle croon. “would you like me to hold her for a bit? i don’t doubt anyone knows better how to soothe her than her mother, but i thought you might like a moment to yourself. a bite to eat.” henryk offered. “are you excited for portugal?” he wouldn’t blame her if she would rather return to poland. their destination was exciting for some, and full of uncertainty for others. “it’s been a while since i last travelled to southern europe. i always liked it. good music, good food, good weather. even if the sun has never liked me very much.”

𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 exhausted but she never let the exhaustion take the best of her, not when her daughter needs very much of her. During the time she was younger traveling used to be her favorite activity to do, but now, with a baby, traveling doesn't seem as appealing as it used to be. Perhaps, she still is 'traumatized' that the same day she pushed a baby out of her body she was sent to travel, in the biggest discomfort and pain. She really likes Henryk, he has a good heart. Although, she doesn't speak much with him like Marius, doesn't mean she doesn't appreciate the crown prince. She gave him a sweet smile, despite the powerful strong, and tiny little lungs of Judyta with her cries.

Upon his request, who is she to deny? ❛ Sure. ❜ She approached him and handed him Judyta gingerly, wrapped in her fabric that was whimpering. She was hungry, but she was ignoring her own needs. Perhaps if she wasn't aware of what Marius did... She would be less paranoid about protecting her daughter. The only people she relaxes, when wanted to take Judyta, are anyone of the Boleslaw members. If the person doesn't have the surname 'Boleslaw' she just gets can't relax.

☆ﾟ*·ﾟTICKLING THE LITTLE baby’s stomach, Hanna couldn’t help but giggle along with her. She always made Hanna smile, no matter what else was happening in her life. “I’d love to! That way, you can get some rest.” The princess would do just about anything for little baby Judyta. How could you not, with a face like that? A soft smile rested across her face, nodding. “Oh, of course. I don’t think it makes me sick, just a bit antsy, and in need of a bunch of fresh air.” She thankfully didn’t get sick, but knew that she’d wished they could arrive already. Hanna’s eyes widened with excitement and her heart grew three sizes bigger. “Are you serious? I’d absolutely love to! It would be such an honor!” She turned to face the little princess, “You hear that, cutie?” Giggling, she tickled her stomach again, before taking hold of her little hand.

𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃 the tea the way she liked, it was so nice to stretch a little, this heat of Spain was killing her, although right now was night, and she took a small sip of her drink, delighted by its flavor. The smallest thing in life still gives her pleasure. Judyta seemed quite comfortable on her aunt's arm. She genuinely liked the presence of Hanna, and lately, she saw her more often, and she liked the princess visitations.

even   if   traveling   meant   sitting   in   the   coach   only   ,   it   exhausted   the   sultana   .   many   hours   passed   with   her   sleeping   on   her   future   husband’s   shoulder   .   her   chest   felt   tight   in   the   small   space   of   the   carriage   ,   making   it   hard   to   breathe   .   the   more   she   yearned   after   breaks   .   this   one   in   particular   .   her   stomach   was   uneasy   however   ,   layla   keen   on   keeping   up   the   facade   .   for   now   …   “   oh   thank   you   .   perhaps   …   i   should   eat   a   little   .   “   but   the   taste   on   her   tongue   alone   caused   her   skin   to   turn   paler   and   her   eye   lids   to   get   a   little   heaver   .   “   hm   ?   “   the   attempts   of   keeping   up   the   conversation   became   harder   .   “   i   agree   ,   your   highness   …   i   miss   the   food   of   home   too   .   i   miss   …   “   but   she   trailed   off   ,   felt   too   exhausted   to   continue   –   unusual   for   the   osman   child   .

marius had seen little reason not to tell sigge of what he’d done, besides the king had guessed and he had only confirmed his thoughts without saying the words out loud. three people knew and he was yet to consider telling his younger siblings. he knew he should, but if it were to be long forgotten soon then why put them through such pain? he would rather protect them from the truth.

marius watched lena, his eyes locked with hers. if she was going to become angry he knew that would by why and the king couldn’t fully explain himself to his wife, even he struggled to understand his own actions. “ sigge wont say a word, we’re friends. if he does, what evidence does he have? none. he has only words. ” that wass all anyone had and in time, now that they had left switzerland, his actions would be forgotten eventually. “ but it is for me to worry about and not you, moja miłość. no one else is going to know. ”

a smile finally appeared on the polish kings lips, his hands raising to cradle his wife’s face in his hands. “ i’m sorry i hurt you and i’m sorry i’ve let you down. ” marius moved in close enough to rest his forehead to lena’s. “ sometimes i miss the times i was not king, when there weren’t so many eyes on us. but i am still me, i promise, and you have not changed. we have our daughter, we’re a family. we have what we wanted and i’m blessed to have you both. ” marius followed lena’s kiss with one of his own, his lips lingering on hers, the pad of his thumb brushing her cheek when he drew back. “ i love you, my lena. ”

𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐍𝐎𝐓 believe the audacity of her husband in telling other people that he wasn't their family in what he did. Either way, she made a mental promise that she won't stress out. Besides, she also misses her husband. Dark emerald hues locked into his blue eyes, as the words follow... ❛ I am TRUSTING you on this. As long as you don't do anything stupid... ❜ Truth is she knows he might do something stupid... ❛ And protect our family, like you always did. Okay? ❜ Besides, there is not much to do. Just wait for what the destiny holds for them. She nodded when he said everything is under control.

She felt his hands cradle her face, and as their foreheads touched each other she closed her eyes. ❛ I also miss the times when we do not have many commitments to worry about. Our secrets getaway encounters... Our adventures... Everything. Kocham cię.❜ She says in a raspy tone, as her mind flew back to the flashback of their time together in their happy moments. The tip of her nose brushes slightly against his, as she leans forward for another long kiss on the softness of his lips, her heart racing as if it was their first time together, after all those years.
