i actually, genuinely feel so sad for max. to go from feeling so comfortable with a group of people that you consider them your second family, to give so much of yourself, to pour all your talent for so many years, especially the uncompetitive ones, to a single team, only to be labeled as disloyal and to have a wanna be nepo baby hint at giving you the boot after all that has happened --i'm just baffled.

i keep rewatching 2016-2018 races and interviews of max and the blind trust he had, even when mercedes was after him year after year, and his mind never changed. even last year, when he kept going on about how driving for only one team for his whole f1 career was THE goal.

what always gets me is abu dhabi. "can we do this for another ten, fifteen years together?" i wish he could stay with this team forever, but at this point, so many of the people who were fundamental for max not leaving even through the renault engine troubles have already left. there is nothing left there for max.

and for them to think max is the one draining their pockets, as if there would be a single red bull racing fan left out there if max decided to leave. as if a massive part of the "team's fans" aren't max fans who followed him to red bull. it all just reads as very ungrateful and disingenuous.

the fact that he didn't leave at the end of 2024 or 2025 already proves how loyal he is to this team, as long as they demonstrate that they have his back. which they obviously don't do anymore. they are glorifying a failed technical director and a mediocre team principal because they are easily swayed to whatever upper management wants them to say or do. they do not care about max.
