Q: When conceptualizing the world in DoL, were you in any way inspired by Silent Hill or David Lynch's films?

A: I've neither played Silent Hill nor seen any David Lynch films! I feel like I'm missing important parts of culture though, so perhaps that should change.

Q1: In the most recent update Whitney is described as having "damp curls" while in the shower. Is Whitney's hair naturally curly, or does it slightly "curl" in the shower? If Whitney's hair is naturally curly, do they straighten their hair or leave it as is?

A1: I want to leave the curliness of Whitney's hair up to player interpretation, but their hair can indeed curl while wet, at least.

Q2: Does Whitney tend to dress "alternatively" or in a more stereotypical delinquent style?

A2: Generally more stereotypically.

Q3: Also in the most recent update, Whitney implies that what they and their friends are going off to do is dangerous. Would their activities be in any way related to the work they do for Bailey after their deal?

A3: It can, but isn't necessarily so. It's a catch-all response for a bunch of dangerous antics.

Q4: Does Whitney feel some regret for their treatment of the PC after finding out about their financial situation and Bailey? I know you recently said Whitney actually thinks they're being a good boyfriend/girlfriend so specifically do they feel some regret about demanding money from them?

A4: Maybe a pang of regret, but it's soon brushed away. They are more inclined to ask their friends for money than the PC, and this might subconsciously be part of it.

Q5: We finally got to see Whitney's home life and dynamic with their parent. Would you say how Whitney was raised influenced the way they expressed "affection" towards their crush, the PC prior to their LI unlock? It doesn't seem as if a healthy relationship was ever modeled to them.

A5: Their relationship with their parent indeed influenced the way they approach their relationship with the PC.

Q6: As only children and the LIs who want children the least, What would Avery and Whitney's reaction be after finding out they/the PC were going to have triplets?

A6: Avery would be incensed. Whitney would be more frustrated than angry, and perhaps a little afraid.

Q2: Though Avery doesn't necessarily want children, would they feel pride if their child took after them in appearance/demeanor?

A2: Aye.

Q3: If Avery has multiple children, would their upbringing as an only child impact their dynamic at all? For example, would Avery pick favorites and have a "golden child" they dote on or a "black sheep" they're disappointed in?  Or would their own experience being disowned make them less prone to favoritism?

A3: Avery would indeed choose favourites from among their children.

Q4: I noticed sometimes Avery is a light sleeper and they're often tossing and turning in bed. If Avery has such trouble sleeping, why do they insist the PC sleep with them when their mansion has more rooms? Besides wanting the PC to fulfill their needs at night do they find some comfort in sleeping next to them?

A4: They consider it only proper that the PC warms their bed. They might find comfort in the PC sleeping beside them also, but they wouldn't admit it. 

Q5: Avery's mansion looks pretty monotone from the outside, on the inside is this reflected too? I know one of the major trends right now is to have bland all-white walls, floors and decor so I'm wondering if Avery's mansion has any color on the inside on the walls or furnishings.

A5: It's more elaborately furnished on the inside, though some rooms moreso than others.

Q6: How would Avery act when sick? Would they be softer or more grumpy than usual? Would they trust the PC to care for them?

A6: They'd be more grumpy than usual, but would trust the PC to care for them.

Q: I heard that Eden will be getting a complete rewrite. I've seen many posts from Eden fans worried that this rewrite would remove Eden's softer, more romantic side. Is this the case, or is the rewrite going to balance Eden's darker, possessive, violent, cruel side with their softer, romantic, desperate and longing side? And possibly include more moments where we can see their trauma like the scene where Eden has a nightmare and chokes the PC? I hope I phrased this well enough.

A: Not a complete rewrite, but it's true I intend to adjust some things. I don't want to remove their softer, more romantic side, but I would like to make them a little more anxious about expressing it. I suppose you could consider it as balancing their softer and darker sides, but I see it more as getting them both to work better as parts of the whole. I'm not against including more darker moments either.
