Pasi as Posh Spice, with uh talent. Posh Spice is known for her fashion icon status not her necessarily her singing. Not to say Victoria Beckham can’t sing… but find me one solo or part of the song she holds on her own and I’ll wait. No real negative feelings for the artist tbh, I just don’t remember her singing parts? Maybe like a bassist in any band, she hardly gets any credit! Sorry Posh 🫣

Side note: somewhere someone who has more awareness of the Finnish language and culture should name more discourse on the ‘angry black man’ stereotype the movies use. Like what is the directors idea about the mental health system like in Finland and how they treat folks with anger or emotion regulation issues? Why is Oula in a mental hospital in care? Why is he immediately sent to prison after he is technically kidnapped and in the beginning is only being a part of the crimes committed as an unwillingly participant? Sure later on he is game and becomes ride or die but what??

So yeah, Spice Girls Scary Spice is also a similar stereotype with leaning into the ‘angry black woman’ bs that defined her persona for so many years.

So whether if it fits bc of the discourse behind both characters experiencing racist stereotypes and how it shapes them as individuals and their music or that they are two deeply misunderstood and emotionally driven characters that find kinship with people who accept and encourage the persons they want to be?

I wanted to mention this all not to be a headache but bc I loved Scary Spice as a kid. She was my fav and probably first baby gay crush. As a adult now, I see she deserved more than racist corporate marketing. She represented a strong willed woman who always called out her fellow bandmates for their shitty behaviour while always having their backs. A goat of a a friend 🩷

To add, Oula as sporty also works - I feel he got into working out as an emotional regulation tool and encourages the guys into it. He’s the type of guy that developed his own hobbies and interests outside of metal and his friends to define himself on his own terms.

Turo as either Ginger Spice, I mean he’s the front singer yes - but is he like Ginger? I dunno you decide.

Friendship Prompts:

Jynnky and Turo 🩷 such babes. So much great material for these besties or more than besties duo.

Turo and Pasi 💬 yeah, they know each other going way back. Both got embarrassing dirt on each other I’m sure. Otherwise can hang out in silence with Pasi giving Turo fun facts that Pasi appreciates Turo often remembers later on.

Lotvonen and Pasi 🦌- oh these guys go waaaay back. While I’m game for the hc that Jynnky was the extrovert who adopted everyone else like strays and honestly it’s so cute to consider all they ways in how they all became friends.

Lotvonen and Pasi feel like two neurodivergent kids vibing on their own with Turo being pulled into these two screwballs orbit as the awkward quiet kid. Then Jynnky rocks up being the new kid in school who’s like ‘anyone want to see me do this?’ (insert dangerous and dumbass stunt) and a wonderful friendship was formed? (Maybe while signing Jyknny’s cast, certain metal tapes were shared and it all began? Who knows?)

But anyways I have to agree that Lotvonen is a total golden retriever guy and Pasi gives black cat energy. The perfect disaster combo 🧡🖤

Also the scene when lotvonen swigs the beer and gives Pasi the empty bottle, only for the latter to discover that it’s empty when he tries to drink it? The look of betrayal as lotvonen looks entirely oblivious 🤣 fucking kills me

Oula as that friend ❤️‍🩹 - one who maybe didn’t get the experience such a bond like the other guys did when he was growing up. Someone who developed a friendship with the guys who broke him out of a hospital, who just so happened to be decent dudes?

Honestly the scene of him gently walking Pasi through ‘it’s okay to open your mind and maybe even like something just bc you like it?’ Like damn Oula. He deserves more of an arc.

Jynnky and Pasi - 🤘 I think both were pretty complimentary to one another. Jynnky respected Pasi’s input on the band and his fun facts on metal. Pasi never really got frustrated with Jynnky’s shenanigans and instead appreciates his chaos. Pasi simply points out better ways to get away with it or how to do it better. Pasi is a really shit disturber by proxy until Pasi becomes more confident in his own way ( 🖤 🤍 as Xytrax)

Bonus*: Oula and Jynnky potential dynamic?

(Head canon when Turo brings Jynnky to the hospital when Oula asks for help bc he’s stuck at a point when learning their song? I dunno but it’s cute af)
