Hello, tumblr! I saw something on here the other day that worried me, so I decided to Do Science about it. But I can't do it alone: I need your help to build the dataset!
Here's what I need you to do:

I am hoping to collect several thousand such posts, so that I have a decent sized dataset. I do not care what the post is about; if it's labeled as "mature content", I want to add it to my dataset.
If I get 10,000 posts in my dataset before August 31st 2026, I will post my preliminary findings then. I won't feel comfortable calling my findings "settled" before 2027, unless I get over 50,000 posts.

I'm not even kidding it's so clear that everyone sees black people and especially black women as some sort of alternate species. I'm getting into doll collection & customization videos because I've been getting into collecting myself and toys and art are supposed to bring me happiness and even there I can't escape the anti blackness. Like... you're lucky if you find a character or doll that's consistently brown skinned and carefully designed in popular brands. Collectors will always favor light skin or fantasy colors anyways. I had to watch a white creator call a custom Garnet doll "dummy thicc" and describe her in progress proportions as "female rappery" why couldn't just have said curvy? You're not funny or cool and I'm very tired

I tried drawing random animals from memory in 2 minutes (based on a spilled ink video) but at the elephant I realised I'm really not good at it :'D So I ended up redrawing them with references just to see the difference, and ended up spending way too much time on it.

Went back and finished the video. There were more animals I never saw before (and one where I accidentally drawn a different one :"D ) but it's all done!

i used to do it a lot but now i only really do it through journaling, if i'm too tired to journal i turn on my webcam and rant for god knows how long. i find recording it in some way helps me stay on track and actually finish my thoughts
22 : If you could bring back an extinct species (with no major consequences) what would it be?
this would require me to kknow anything about extinct species.... uhhh.... the no consequences thing prevents me from just saying to bring back the bug species that have been fucking purged from our ecosystems. so maybe neanderthals? it would be fun to have a different kind of humanoid walking around on earth, hoping it doesnt give way to novel horrible kinds of racisms of course
