A Fashion Thing

Japanese songwriter Miyu wearing cyber fashion by legendary 1990s brand FOTUS (often featured in FRUiTS Magazine) with items by Jupiter and Buffalo Shoes platforms on the street in Harajuku. She was on her way to one of the final nights at Tokyo’s Club Ageha, which, along with Studio Coast, closed at the end of January 2022 after a twenty year run.

Dr. Sheila Cliffe is a Japan-based British-born woman who wears kimono daily. She fell in love with kimono on a trip to Japan in the early 1980s, moved to Japan in 1985, learned Japanese to study kimono, got a PHD in kimono at age 52, publishes kimono styling books, and works to help keep kimono a living fashion (not just something people see in museums). Back in early December, I went to Kurumed (a nutcracker themed café) for lunch with @sapphira-doll. Sapphira told me she would dress up Christmasy, so I did the same.
