Moon Shine Mani, to be specific. And really ... "moonshine"? Another staple of southern culture! Phoebe (Moon) may have said her husband named this polish. Its a bird! Its a plane! No, its just the shiftiest polish I've ever photographed. This is Colores de Carol's Pandora. At first glance, it was a sure winner for a Friday purple. But then ... as CdC describes it ... "reddish pink to green" except there is some blue and little bit of gold mixed in along the way. Mind. Blown. I mean, I've seen shifty multichromes before but its another thing entirely to paint it on your nails and try and photograph it accurately. WTH? I think I'm being taken over by an alien life form. This is a jelly polish. I really like it. Isn't that proof enough? Two coats of Night Owl's Pining For Fall. From last month's polish pickup. The month is divided into three sections, really. One, when polish pickup is live. Two, when its closed and I'm awaiting my order. And three, when I have my order, and I'm waiting for the next month to go live. A subset of three would be, when the next month's polishes start to be announced. Autumn is an interesting time of year. This is a million dollar polish with a two-dollar price tag. That's one coat. One frickin coat! Seriously, like ... one! Sinful Colors really hits it out of the park with some of their shades. I'm sorry this went untried until today. "Rain Storm" (which I wish we were having) ... the perfect denim-y overcast greyish blue. One thing to note is that it dried down darker than what you see in the bottle, and the only way to get an accurate color shot was in artificial lighting. Go figure. Or not. But if you see this one for sale, I recommend it. And if you don't like it, give it to me. Almost forgot to post today! Sundays are not for focusing, really. They're for lazing. This is High Spirits from the essence colour&go line. I don't bust this one out often, but its one of my fave greens and I wanted to show it off for #greenswithjules. Its almost a one-coater, and I like it because it has a fine silver shimmer running thru it, which is unusual for this shade. I admit, tho, I only wore it on one hand. Because, weensy little bottle! I straight-up lifted this idea from @nailtrip. Do not like this post without checking out her version of this mani!!! Imeanit! I'm pretty vanilla when it comes to painting my nails. I paint them all a solid color. And then I stop. No nail art, no decals, no stamping or anything. Sometimes I do an accent nail. I'd love to get into that stuff, but really, I'm doing good to get a shower and brush my teeths every day. There's just no time for much else. So when I saw this beautiful gradient mani in @nailtrip's feed, it made me stop and say "oh sweet heavens, I can DO that!" Its so lovely and fall. This polish came to life after two coats. At one coat, its just eh, so don't grab this if you have to run out the door. But at two coats, duuuuuuude. It woke up and said "where's the party?" Sometimes the chaos of the everyday surpasses my tolerance of same. On those days, if I could change all the furnishings in my home to be a soothing shade of taupe, I would. No prints, no patterns, no shapes for my brain to try and decipher. No smudges or fingerprints, either, because it wouldn't show dirt! Haha! Added bonus. But. I can't do that, and if I did, it would start to feel a bit institutional after a while. I can, however, paint my nails a greigy-taupey-brownish shade, and stare at them. Oh my heart. I knew the day after Pennywise was going to be a let-down regardless ... and I almost felt bad picking out a follow-up, knowing it was cursed from the outset. But some polish had to do it. This is two coats of Sinful Colors Flight To See. It was pretty sheer on the first coat, but I thought it built up pretty nice on the second. I love this polish. My pictures of it fall short, but I looooove this polish. @beeskneeslacquer launched what ... a couple weeks ago? Sarah, the mixmaster, will help me out here if I'm wrong. Anyway, as soon as I saw Pennywise in the torturous pre-launch posts, I loved it. Don't ask me why. I don't know how my polish heart works either. But I want to wear this forever and never take it off. So this may be the last nail post I ever do. I couldn't capture the shimmer properly, so if you really want to see it in its true form, look at the other swatches. The site describes it as "a white crelly polish with gold and red to green shifting shimmer and loaded with red to gold flakies." Yep. That's Pennywise.
