mouthwashing is such a great piece of media im not surprised AT ALL that you get excited when you see people who also enjoy it! i think my favourite character would be swansea, my absolutely favourite scene also being his monologue before jword kills him. i find it relatable. like REALLY relatable. i cried just a bit on it. a tiny tiny bit. and also anya's speech before her death. and the dead pixel conversation, the way curly can't see it but anya can. god i also love the soundtrack so so much, i made myself a patch with one of the titles ("speech! speech! speech!"). "what's new on the radio" is my third most played song on spotify ever at 985 listens so heh. there's that.
there's so so much i love about the game if not the entirety of it. i remember just how shaken i was after finishing it. ever since i just TRY to cope by imagining an ending where nothing bad happens and they just come back home, anya is able to get an actual degree, swansea is happy with his life and daisuke is able to find himself a career. as for curly i could never have a solid opinion on him mostly because of him enabling jword throughout his actions. but those are my opinions! what about you though? id love to hear about your favourite character and parts of the game!

yes this blog is turning into a fictional media review blog/j / undertale spoilers ahead!
may be a bit of a hot take but i am so fucking GLAD i didnt get into undertale earlier. this game wouldn't have made such an impact on younger me and meanwhile i would love to be around when the fandom was at its peak i genuinely don't think id understand every theme the game has to offer. i did the true pacifist route and wow this game really has EVERYTHING. i got pissed at bossfights, i laughed at jokes and puns, I CRIED. SO MUCH. TEARS., and felt this deep sense of fulfilment after every major fight, like i dont think there was an emotion i didnt go through on this run it was insane. like maybe fear? but yeah i kinda shit myself when flowey killed asgore and turned into the fucking monstrosity of photoshop flowey AND ON TOP OF THAT CRASHED MY GAME but i did also watch a gameplay of genocide (i wouldn't be able to live with myself if i actually completed it EVEN THOUGH i really really want to jump on that sans fight grind) and that shit is disturbing as fuck so yeah the game has EVERYTHING. and I don't think any other point in my life was as good as the one im in right now to play it. like hell yeah im filled with determination. id also like to mention that i ragequit games a lot and genuinely get so mad at them sometimes but the game over screens really gave me enough hope and DETERMINATION to finish the game. amazing work.
i was also blessed with going into it blind cause i always knew id want to get into undertale at some point so i avoided spoilers SO HARD and i fully recommend that. if you're able to play the game, don't watch a fucking gameplay come on you're better than that/silly. it is a whole ass experience. i thought watching the entirety of breaking bad was cathartic or like finishing dbh or life is strange but no, nothing beats THIS. and i dont think something ever will.
