randomizer firered nuzlocke and the lore
Velvet/Austin is born into a town that are abnormally devout to Arceus but seem to be any other town to the rest of the world. Because of a long story told by people from the town for generations, it's believe that when a Pokémon Trainer from this town turns 17, it's said that there is a chance of them being picked by Arceus to be sent on a grand, but unknown quest. The nature of the quest was never truly understood or known about as the only person who had supposedly been sent on this quest never returned from it, but theories were a constant. Velvet was told all his life that this quest could happen to him one day, but having always been stubborn, curious and skeptical at times he never believed it. He generally disregarded this Arceus stuff despite being born into it, until the day he turned 17. The celebration had came and went, and Velvet laid in his bed feeling the sense that the town was disappointed in him for not being picked, and by extension being more sure of his disinterest in Arceus, until a spark of light flickered from the roof of his room for a moment, before sparking more, and then opening up to reveal a portal, that Austin was slowly lifted into. Not moving or uttering a word, he heard a voice from Arceus saying he had been picked to be apart of the apparently real quest. He was told that he would be sent into the regions Kanto all the way to Alola, and he would have to compete to become the champion of that region multiple amounts of times, by being sent into bizarre timelines of the world where the location, ability and moveset of a Pokémon was completely jumbled up. These timelines would be created at will by Arceus, made completely random in a way to where even Arceus himself would not know what is coming for Velvet.
He was told that wasn't all that would be different though. In this world, if any Pokémon fainted in a battle, they would be killed completely. He was also told it was a rule that he could only catch the first Pokémon he sees in a new location, outside of niche exceptions such as finding a Shiny Pokémon, or a Pokémon he had already caught before. If he faced a full team wipeout at any point, he would be sent into a new timeline of the region he's in and be forced to do it all over again. If he managed to become Champion, he wouldn't be allowed to catch any of the Pokémon he used in that team until his challenge was complete. He was told he'd be sent to the Kanto region three times, the Jotoh region three times, Hoenn three times, then Kanto two times again, then Sinnoh three times, then Jotoh two times again, then Unova four times, then Kalos two times, then Alola four times, provided he didn't lose a battle at any point. If he was able to accomplish this task, he and his town would be rewarded, and seen as legends in their own right. He would also be allowed to bring any of the Pokémon he caught in his journey into his timeline, mismatched moves and abilities and all. World threatening Pokémon like Giratina or Yveltal would only be allowed to be brought back under the condition that Arceus would lower those Pokémon's strength and powers considerably to prevent total annihilation of the world. This journey had always been speculated to be a test of faith from Arceus, or a test of power. Nobody knows Arceus's true intentions, but he does what he does for his own amusement now. He found the stories and legends entertaining and decided to make them into a reality for the fun of it. He has little interest in the town that worships him itself. Told that he could see this as either a blessing or a curse, Austin was plunged into his first trial, becoming Champion of Kanto for the first time.
After being sent into Kanto at Pallet Town, Austin was furious. He was assigned a new family and new friends and spent 30 tries in a row trying and failing to beat the Champion of the region, that he named Tickler to his own amusement per Arceus's request for a name. He tried not to get too attached to anyone he caught, but during his 30th run that began to change when he finally began to make progress.
Everything felt like a vivid confetti filled blur when he finally won for the first time.
Electrode was his starter, given the nickname Oh! as a joke in reference to a past failed adventure, but he found himself calling his Electrode by the nickname Rotund more often. Rotund the Electrode was very eager and the most excitable Pokémon on his team by far, as well as eager for Austin's attention and affection. Due to the effects of the timelines randomization, there wasn't any concern of his Electrode exploding mid-battle anymore either. They were incredibly reliable due to their strong special attack alongside their insane speed and good moves, even if their defenses made using them somewhat risky sometimes. Rotund also felt instant-affection for any new Pokémon added into the party, something that would annoy some Pokémon on his team, but making others like EggheadX3 happier. When Oak found Rotund, they were hiding away in a cave, scared of the other Pokémon who were stronger and liked to use Rotund as target practice. Oak was almost immediately able to get Rotund on his side just by showing he wasn't going to hurt them, which won Rotund over. After that, they showed great affection towards any human they saw, especially their own trainer Velvet.
Miku the Farfetch'd was a far more surprising warrior. When she was first encountered, she was written off as a Pokémon who wouldn't end up doing much and be boxed, not seen as anything special. Kept only out of a need for more team members, she quickly proved she was more then worthy to remain on Velvet's team. She didn't interact with the others often, but she had a deep respect for them that came from watching them battling others when Velvet felt it was their time to shine. Ever the eager fighter, she would proudly dawn the Choice Band that Velvet had found on the floor in one of the routes, turning her already admirable strength for a Farfetch'd even greater. Her confidence and skill on the field gave Velvet a newfound interest in a Pokémon he had always dismissed as forgettable. She comes from a family of Farfetch'd that are similarly tough willed and strong, but Miku wanted to take her own path, leaving the flock and soon meeting Velvet on Route 25, where she would be captured shortly after. When her strength and capabilities were initially brushed off, she decided she wanted to prove her strength to Velvet, sticking with his team and showing she could take on nearly anything sent in her way, regardless of her defensive weaknesses. She was the one to pull through with victory in the end when she took down Champion Tickler's very last Pokémon Victreebel with her highly powerful Choice Band boosted Fly, the last blow dealt in the whole journey against the last Pokémon fought in the whole journey against the last battle of the whole journey, showing for the last time just how capable she was. She spends her time in The Hub helping other Pokémon train in battle.
Lucifer the Kabutops was initially nicknamed this out of spite. Despite being rather happy and carefree for a Kabutops, as well as being given caught in a ball designed to be extra comforting to a Pokémon, he didn't get along with Velvet at all at first, due to not being fond of new trainers, new places, as well as Velvet's distain for the rain, which was always summoned as soon Lucifer entered the field. He'd begrudgingly listen to his commands in battle upon being added to the team, and they eventually formed a silent acceptance of each others mutual respect for one another. Towards the end of the journey during the Elite Four was when they really began to bond, having a strong synergy with each other. Some of the other Pokémon disliked Lucifer for his summoning of the rain when he was sent out, but this seemed to work very well for Twinkle, the Starmie. Lucifer likes to train itself by fighting with the other Pokémon, never backing down regardless of if he should or not. He and Twinkle appear to have formed a sort of mutual bond. They never fight, but Lucifer is often seen hitting Twinkle with his scythes, trying to train itself in ways outside of attacking the others. Twinkle never seems bothered by this as they never move away or fight back, or even seem to be in pain. He is power hungry and sees himself as the team leader, but is never treated as such by the other Pokémon, greatly angering him and causing him to act out a lot.
Twinkle the Starmie is the most mysterious member on the team. They never seemed to show emotion through body-language let alone facial expression, and always seemed to keep to themselves, away from the others. They were fished out of Fuchsia City and Velvet immediately felt captivated to catch them, proving to be a good decision. They learned soon after that the guy who the small body of water at Fuchsia City belonged to apparently never put any Starmie in his waters, and he has no clue how it got there. Twinkle has come to show more affection with Velvet then what seems normal to them, and he's one of the only people or Pokémon that Twinkle has ever seemed to feel anything towards, proven when they finally began to respond to Velvet's nickname for it. They could be described as being silent but deadly, as they were arguably the hardest hitting Pokémon on Velvet's team, especially when boosted under the rain summoned by Lucifer. It's because of this rain that Twinkle and Lucifer seem to have a bond, as Twinkle lets Lucifer train off of it, but it's refusal to acknowledge Lucifer as team leader cause him to take his frustrations out on Twinkle often. This Starmie was originally from space, before it's descent into Earth that lead to it entering a body of water in Fuschia City at night.
If anyone could have been described as the comic relief of the team, it would have been EggheadX3 (or just Egghead) the Exeggutor, who was found on Route 17. He had sensed the nervousness and frustrations radiating off of the boy and came to his comfort, and since he was the first Pokémon Velvet had seen in that route, he was the one that got captured, and later used when Sprout died. He was able to provide comfort to Velvet thanks to his goofy appearance and personality after losing both Alice the Rapidash and Sprout the Venusaur incredibly close to each other, and proved to be a viable member of the team beyond that. His mooching habit paid off as his ability to drain away any Pokémon's health with Giga Drain as well as the health it got from it's own Leftovers, proved this Pokémon was as strong as they were silly/silly looking. They were always eager to win, abnormally so for an Exeggutor normally, but this eagerness was at a cost of perfect accuracy with some of his moves. This never ended up being a problem though, as Egghead was able to be an amazing team member anyway. He also had a love for food, constantly eating in the middle of battle as well as taking food outside of Velvet's bag when he wasn't looking.
Homer the Arbok was a last minute addition to the team after the tragic death of Dee the Rhyhorn, and RoaringKnight the Gyarados, who had died as well despite his incredible strength, too soon to ever get to truly use that strength to his advantage. Homer was trained well for a long time due to being very under leveled upon her addition to the team, however being a new member added at a very late time in the adventure, combined with her intimidating appearance, she felt very out of place within the team and felt unwanted by all but Velvet, who tried not to let his frustrations get to him when it came to Homer. Ultimately she was able to prove her place on the team even at such a late point in the adventure, going from a simple wild snake to a strong cobra, able to knock opponents out in one or two hits while scaring them off from being able to do any real damage. She seems to have a preference to punk music, and she likes to engage with the other Pokémon, she's just nervous about potential rejection. Egghead was the first to make her feel more confident as he isn't the type to let someone stay lonely and anxious whether he realizes they're lonely and anxious or not.
Important things for the memorial are Jax the Golbat, a mischevious Golbat that was the first real loss for Velvet, Alice the Rapidash and Sprout the Venusaur, both of which stayed for a long time on Velvet's team before beating killed off in the Silph Co. takeover.
Upon becoming Champion for the first time, Velvet was soon able to feel immense relief that the first true step in the journey was finally taken, and his entire team was alive alongside it. He was sent into a sort of hub zone that had a intergalactic appearance to it while providing comfort and an endless supply of food and water to Austin and all his Pokémon. It was structured like a room or a hotel complex, with each Pokémon getting their own room while also having places in the lower regions to hang out, or train, or relax together. These places would become bigger in size with each new batch of Pokémon brought into the Hall of Fame, and by extension The Hub, with new doors and hallway length being added in the apartment section, the new doors having an image of that Pokémon added onto it when brought into The Hub.
Rotund's room is energetic and full of the same type of life and energy that Rotund brings. It's largely full of yellow or mechanical grey colors, and includes a trampoline for Electrode to jump on that's placed right below a trampoline on the roof. Both trampolines, as well as the whole room in general, are electricity absorbing, making Electrode unable to destroy it via electricity coming out of them when they feel any emotion too strongly. It's the exact opposite of the dark, depressing and scary feeling that the cave they were born in brought on. They have their own bed, but they choose to sleep on the trampoline instead
Miku's room is very peaceful, somehow looking like the outside world, in a far away hot spring closed off naturally to the human world or wild Pokémon. There are plenty of large trees for Miku to train herself with, but they remain untouched by her most of the time as she no longer believes she has to train much further after taking so much on during her journey and defeating the Champion and for all.
Lucifer's room is a rage room. It's black and red and features tons of things for Lucifer to attack, break and shatter mindlessly when he's angry. He refuses to let any other Pokémon inside his room, in fact he won't even let them look in his room at all. He had a bed, but he destroyed it, now sleeping in various locations around The Hub.
Twinkle's room is vast and somewhat empty. The floor and walls are invisible, showing the outside space around you, and there's a hole in the center with a large space of water for Twinkle to swim in. This space also functions as Twinkle's bed.
Egghead's room looks tropical and is covered with food (mostly fruit), with Exeggutor-like trees everywhere that are constantly growing all the fruit that Exeggutor likes on it at a rapid rate, There's a large hammock in the center for Exeggutor to sleep in.
Homer's room resembles the Pokémon Mansion quite a bit, as it was where Homer had spent it's entire life as an Ekans in before being caught by Velvet.
Velvet took the chance to relax with himself and his Pokémon, before eventually saying goodbye to each of them before he was sent into another timeline of the Kanto region, doing it all over again, with different Pokémon by his side this time.
