Although the music originally began in a theatrical context,
it has been fully reworked into a standalone album
meant to reach listeners with no knowledge of its origin.

一人の俳優と、その家族の物語から始まりました。
俳優・春田奨の物語は、
決して遠くの出来事ではありませんでした。
彼の目の奥には、
彼自身の心にさえ言葉にできなかったものが、
確かに残っていました。
公演の前も後も、彼は何度も僕に言ってくれました。
「家族でもない人に、難しい話を頼んでごめんね」
「真摯に向き合って作曲してくれて、ありがとう」
けれど、台本と稽古の映像を見て、
初演を見届けたとき、
僕の中に残ったのは、別の感覚でした。
たった一人で何かを抱えて死んだ人のことを、
残された人は、言葉にできないまま、
ずっと思い続ける。
この感覚が、ずっと体の奥に残りました。
やがてそれは、自分自身の中にあった、
名前のない感情とつながっていきました。
この音楽は、
悲しみを説明するためのものではありません。
忘れられない場所に届く形で、
残された人の時間に寄り添う音であるべきだと考え、
全曲を書き直しました。
これは弔いの代わりではありません。
物語が終わったあとも、
それぞれの人生が続いていくための音です。
本作はBandcampのみでリリースされます。
価格は99999円に設定していますが、
購入しなくても、何度でも全曲を聴くことができます。
この音楽は、
誰かに買わせるためのものではありません。
必要な人が、必要なだけ聴ける場所として、
Bandcampという形を選びました。

This album began with the story of one actor and his family.
The story of actor Sho Haruta was not something distant to me.
There was something in his eyes that even he could not fully put into words.
Before and after the performance, he said to me more than once:
“Sorry for asking someone outside my family to deal with something so difficult.”
“Thank you for taking this seriously and writing the music.”
But what stayed with me was something else.
When someone dies carrying something alone, those who remain continue to think of them without ever being able to put it into words.
That feeling stayed inside me.
Over time, it connected with emotions I had carried deep inside myself
without a name.
This music is not meant to explain grief.
I wanted it to reach the place people cannot forget, and to exist as sound that allows life to continue forward.
With that decision, I rewrote every track.
This is not a substitute for mourning.
It is music meant to remain after the story has ended, so that life itself can go on.
This album is released exclusively on Bandcamp.
The price is set at 99,999 JPY,
but anyone can listen to the full album as many times as they wish without purchasing.
This music is not meant to be sold.
Bandcamp was chosen as a place where those who need it can listen freely.

Velladon has discontinued distribution on streaming platforms. The debut album forbidden colors and the single DEMONS have been withdrawn from major services. Future releases will be available via Bandcamp and physical formats. The full statement is presented below in both Japanese and English. Read on for the Japanese text. The English text follows below.
From now on, Velladon will not release music on streaming stores.
Also, my very first album forbidden colors and my very first single DEMONS have been withdrawn from Spotify and all the other major platforms.
If you’re about to put out a new record, the “normal” thing would be: “Please stream my debut as much as possible!”
But this record was the very first thing I put into the world on my own responsibility, and at the same time, it stands as the origin of my music and a symbol of freedom.
That’s exactly why I decided to pull it first.
From here on, all new songs and releases will live on Bandcamp and in physical formats.
In other words: no more dating apps with algorithms.
From the outside, it might look like “a guy unpopular with numbers finally dumped numbers.”
But behind it was a reality that wasn’t so funny.
Spotify’s CEO and his war-industry investments.
Apple Music quietly adjusting to censorship pressures.
Believe (TuneCore) getting caught in sanction-dodging debates.
If you stop right here, it looks like the story of someone who suddenly discovered the Truth online and joined the Illuminati-bashing club.
Relax. I’m not wearing a tinfoil hat, I haven’t fought the Deep State, and I have never been attacked by the Shocker organization or the Baltan aliens.
(It’s true, though: for years I’ve sent opinions to the Prime Minister’s Office as a weird hobby. Bureaucrats probably file them under “eccentric uncle.”)
Over years of watching this, I carried a quiet sense of discomfort.

Different circumstances, different actors—
but one pattern keeps showing up:
music getting bound up with war, with control, with systems of extraction.
Rock ’n’ roll once promised liberation.
Now it looks like products rolling down a factory checklist.
At some point, “streaming” stopped meaning “flow” and became “shrink-wrapped distribution.”

Music sliced into plays-per-month, artists’ labor minced like sausages on a conveyor belt, all feeding the appetite of billionaires.
If streaming is supposed to be “proof of existence,” then I’m fine with my origin—and the music that follows—not existing there.
I don’t want my songs turned into sausage meat, nor my name printed on the ingredients list.
So I pulled them out.
This is not a crusade, nor a moral trial. It’s just deciding where to place my sound.
Not a big deal. Or maybe it is. But certainly not something that belongs next to the name on my bank account or engraved on my tombstone.

I know: refusing every shady company would be impossible, and absurd.
Take it to the extreme, and I’d be lecturing the refrigerator and scolding the tap water.
So at least with music, I want some distance from the things that feel wrong.
Of course, this will not change the world.
But in my room, the air feels just a little lighter.

This decision applies only to what I release under my own name.
Other bands, collaborations, projects will still flow on the platforms, because those bonds of trust matter more than my private discomfort.
That contradiction isn’t betrayal—it’s keeping the music open, not shutting it inside one man’s ideology.

Not an order. Not a campaign.
I don’t want everyone to shout, “Quit Spotify! Quit Apple! Quit Waves!”
Preaching isn’t my style. Each artist’s way of survival is valid.

Isolation is not the goal.
Choosing, by myself, is the point.
That, in the end, is the heart of this decision.
So—having faced the original discomfort, I pulled the sound back.

This is not a “work.” It’s not beautiful. Not polished.
This is very likely a WORLD-FIRST PERFORMANCE STRUCTURE.
Everything was played live using one guitar only — bass, drums, synths, noise.
No looper. No sync. No sequencer.
Every sound was created in the moment, with no pre-recorded elements. Just 30 seconds.
But it took me 16 years to release this.
