aqua's whisper: hi so uh in most of these stories for the crewmate series you are an adult college student but in ye-on's (and implied in ian's but not directly mentioned), you are a high school student because both ye-on and ian are sixteen (since you're emancipated in the story, you would be 16-17)

Two months is all it took, and everyone is already well acquainted, especially you and Ye-on. DMing each other all the time, and you mean all the time. Right now, Ye-on is staring at the messages you’ve sent to her. Not replying to them, just evaluating. Several messages on wanting to get more personal with her; but it would break the whole “anonymous server” thing that her and Sakuya—Ppang, technically—have both agreed on. Why should she let you in like this, so suddenly? But she thinks again. You have never had bad intentions on anything before. She could probably tell you her exact _coordinates and you wouldn’t do anything with it. Still, she’s iffy on this at the moment. She declines the offer but still asks to have a one-on-one call, in which you join the call almost immediately. Your profiles pop up on screen, a familiar sight because you’ve called each other before. A green light pulses around your profile as you speak, just greeting her.
“Hey, Melo.” Your voice is a bit hoarse and tired-sounding — more than usual.
“Hi, Koko. You doing alright?” You might not be able to see her, but her voice is filled with concern, so it’s not hard to tell.
“Yeah, I’m good! Just tired is all, high school is draining me bad right now.”
“Oh.. Is this the personal thing you wanted to talk about?”
“Right, sorry. Something else.”
“No! I thought this whole personal thing was going somewhere else, sorry.. Tell me all about high school. I don’t really know if I can help, but I can always try and comfort you?” She hears your laugh and unconsciously smiles.
“Well, first of all..” She nods and hums through every few sentences, letting you know she’s there and listening.
“Youch, sounds tough.”
“I’m saying!” You exclaim. You stretch really quick, twisting your body around the chair and cracking your back with a soft groan.
“Melo, I’m tired. I might rest for a bit if that’s fine.”
“Completely! Don’t let me, or anyone for that matter, stop you from taking care of yourself the best you can! Have a good evening!” She cuts the call and you immediately take your headphones off, the headache overtaking you almost immediately. You collapse on the bed, fatigue grabbing you by the hair and dragging you to envelop yourself in the covers, curling up into yourself before extending your limbs again.
When you wake up the next day, you groan loudly, despair clawing at your throat. One of your friends opens the door, someone who's been practically living in your house ever since you were emancipated.
“Hey, you good?” You shake your head.
“I still have classes today.. You’re so lucky, all of your classes are online.” You mumble into the pillow. She laughs before grabbing some clothes for you, placing them neatly on a random chair that is placed next to the bed.
“I’ll help you get ready. You do have to get up though, your classes are important.” You reluctantly get up even though the voice in your head is tempting, almost demanding you to skip classes and just stay in your house. You slowly get ready, Amara doing small things for you so you can get ready faster, like making you breakfast and bringing your clothes over to you.
After the day, you sit down at your desk, your desktop already having Discord open. You were thinking of doing work, but Amara pops in again.
“Hey, (reader)! Do you want to take a break from studying? We can work on assignments together in the library tomorrow, since you said you have a day off then!” You nod and she gives a thumbs up before closing the door softly, going back to her own room. You glance at the server once more. I can play for a little.. And that leads you to playing Among Us with the whole server, Ppang using some stupid voice changer that makes everyone laugh.
“Oh my god, hello?”
“Hello.. it's me, crewmate. I am the good guy on the spaceship. I complete all the task. My goal is to complete all task before the imposter try to destroy everyone, before he kills everyone.” You, Gumiho, and Daeng all have to mute your mics to stop yourselves from laughing too loud and not letting him be heard. Everyone talks over each other trying to convince him that they’re a crewmate. Amara walks in again.
“Amara, what’s up?”
“I just heard something coming from your room. Mind if I spectate?” You shake your head, turning the volume on your headphones loud enough for both of you to hear.
“Koko, who’s the visitor?” Hiro asks.
“Oh, it’s my friend,” you turn towards her so she can whisper an alias in your ear before turning back to the microphone, “Mars!”
“Fire! Nice to meet you.” Jjuu exclaims.
“Nice to meet you, uh..” Her voice trails off.
“Jjuu.”
“Jjuu! Nice.” Amara smiles.
After another game, Amara leaves to go to bed.
“Hey, I might hop off too, I have some assignments to do tomorrow.”
“Wait! Koko, can you call super quickly?”
“Yeah, I can.” You cut the call, going to the direct messages tab and directly into Melo’s.
The call prompt shows up almost immediately, and you click accept with a yawn.
“Hi, Koko.” Melo softly says.
“You sound tired. So, what did you want to say?” You fight back another yawn, letting her say what she needs to.
“I just wanted to say that if you want to get personal—in any way, you can talk to me. Alright?” You pause for a second. You’re not exactly sure where this could have possibly come from, but you’re not completely complaining either. It’s comforting to see you both trust each other like this.
“Thank you. I might.. Might go to sleep. Good night, Melo.” You yawn in between a few words. She responds back before cutting the call and letting you rest again. Every night with this server is such fun, but it’s always late at night that the server becomes especially active, and you can’t really be there the whole time most days.
One day, you wake up to see that the server is gone from your server bar, replaced with an inverted thumbnail. You go into your DM's, quickly messaging Melo about this, but she doesn't know either. After messaging for a few minutes, you both come to the conclusion that it's just a glitch. Thankfully, you were right. Not so thankfully, at first you thought the server would be gone so you had exchanged personal social media account users, which had a lot of your personal information on it. You both attempt to DM each other like it's nothing, but on the other side of the screen you both unfortunately panic. Next day, when messaging everyone else in the server, it turns out that it was only you two who had this glitch. But you two repeatedly DM each other anyways, until it feels natural to talk and call through Instagram instead of Discord. But when exams start, you fully disappear for a few days, worrying especially Ye-on.
Eventually though, you do come back, apologizing to Ye-on and the rest of the server, talking about how hard your exams were. Honestly, your high school sounds like hell, but she has regular classes and she's heard similar things from her other friends about their advanced exams. Plus, she knows you have advanced classes.. This feels so familiar. So intentional, in a way. Well, although you guys have exchanged social media, she hasn't looked at your account properly. Would it be so bad to look now? So she quietly looks at your profile while calling you, and audibly gasps.
"Something wrong?" You ask.
"It's nothing!" She quietly giggles as she looks through the rest of your information.
"What are you looking at, Ye-on?"
"Just an edit. Of an anime character I like."
"Yeah? Which character?" She gulps.
"Gojo. He's my favorite."
"Your favorite character has been Megumi.. You just updated your bio yesterday to say 'megumi's girl'."
"You've looked at my profile?"
"I occasionally look." Now it's your turn to be nervous. You check her account a bit more than occasionally.
"You probably know what city I live in. Or what school I go to?"
"We go to the same high school."
"And you also live in Lemon Grove." Ye-on says.
"Mhm." You laugh suddenly. "Anonymous my ass." Ye-on smiles.
"Do you think we could maybe.. meet up?" She asks. You think about it for a second. I mean, I'm kinda bored anyway. This might be the one time a plan could actually work out between me and any of my friends.
"Yeah, that would actually be pretty nice. We could go downtown, there was this one boutique I wanted to go to."
"Toda Moda, right?"
"Yeah! There's also a nice park nearby, Treganza Heritage Park."
"We could meet up there!" For the rest of the call, you two make plans to meet each other, around four days from now.
And as that day presents itself, you stare at Ye-on from across the park, watching her look around for you. You take a few deep breaths before turning around and walking out of the park.
Wait, what!? Oh, get back in that park.

And so, albeit your nervousness and how sweaty you suddenly feel, you walk up to Ye-on, tapping her shoulder softly because she’s turned around. She yelps, and you overestimated the distance because the two of you are only centimetres apart. She looks into your eyes, gulping in such an audible way it makes you laugh, an airy sound from your nostrils paired with almost a smirk.
“Um.. sorry.” You step back, and you can more clearly tell how dilated her pupils are, before they constrict back to it’s regular size.
“(reader)?” She tilts her head. you nod, and she hesitantly reaches her hand out for you to hold. No further words were said for the next few minutes as you took her hand and walked together, letting yourselves bask in the silence of the park at such a usually loud hour.
"Oh my god, does this mean we were e-dating this whole time?!" You laugh at Ye-on's statement, then really think about it.
"Shoot. I think we were." You both laugh now at the sudden realization, still somewhat shocked.
"But.. if we know each other in real life now..? Would we be.. really dating?"
"If you wanna be my girlfriend!" You teasingly say.
"I do. If you want to be mine.." She answers. You look at her, light blush on her face as she walks beside you.
"Yeah.. I do. Um, it's 6:00. You said you had to go by 7:00? You can come over if you want." Somehow, the just-said confession was quickly forgotten.
"Oh, I don't want to trouble your parents if I just barge in!"
"I live alone. Well, not really. Amara basically lives with me."
"Alone?" She tilts her head, concern on her face until she hears your answer.
"It's nothing crazy, I've just been emancipated." She slowly nods.
"Sure, I can come over." The two of you walk out of the park and down the road to your house, which she didn't expect to be so large.
"How much did you pay for the house?"
"Surprisingly, not a lot. The seller was desperate to leave, but the place isn't haunted or anything. Or the ghosts just like me." You smile at your last sentence, pulling out your keys and unlocking the door for her, letting her walk in first as she toes off her shoes, basking in the warmth radiating from the house. She walks through the hall, then back at you.
"You bought this yourself? No money from your parents?"
"No, just a bit of overtime from the… several jobs I had." You grimace, remembering the fatigue wearing you down slowly as you tried to save enough money for everything. Thankfully, it worked out like this. You were able to quit most of your jobs and only work two ones that pay you well without tiring you out too much; just enough to pay for your bills, groceries, etcetera.
"What do you want to eat? I can get takeout or I can make something, either's fine." You turn to her, sitting on the couch while you look around in the kitchen.
"Just a snack is fine, I'm not too hungry right now." She replies.
"Okay! Uh.. I have chocolate, jelly, candy, apple pie—my favorite—and macarons!"
"Ooh, I'll have macarons!" You nod although she can't see you, grabbing the pre-cut pie and plating yourself a piece, then getting a smaller plate to put a few coconut key lime macaroons on, giving the plate to Ye-on as you circle around the couch to sit next to her.
"How do you think Ppang is going to react? He'll figure out eventually, I mean."
"Keep it a secret for as long as I can. He'll take out the anonymous thing at some point in time, he's already getting tired of it."
"I see." The both of you sit in silence, Ye-on quickly eating the dessert and resting her head on your shoulder.
"Oh, we forgot to go to the boutique."
"We can go another day, it's fine!" Ye-on gets a ping from her phone and quickly checks it.
"I don't think we'll have to keep it a secret for too long." She tilts her phone toward you so you can look at his message.
"Wow, Ppang's pretty impatient." She nods. Once again, it's quiet for a bit longer, the two of you running out of things to talk about.
"It's almost eight, I should probably go." You both get up off of the couch, slipping on some random shoes to drop her off. Before she gets out of the car, she turns to look at you.
"Do you want to have lunch at school tomorrow?"
"I'd like that!"
"And also.. are we dating?" You take a breath.
"I want to be your girlfriend."
"Me too." She looks around, then hugs you.
"You might be the nicest person I know, and I've only known you for.. what? Four months now? I feel kinda stupid, if I'm being honest." You finally reciprocate the hug.
"Hey, I feel the same. It's kinda weird, but we'll get past this.. awkward phase? I don't know."
"Shoot, it's 8:15. I should really go now. I'll, uh, see you tomorrow at school!"
"See you tomorrow, Ye-on!" She waves as she closes the door before hurriedly running up the steps to her front door, her mom opening the door and waving to the car before the both of them walk in and you pull out.
The next day at school after the bell rings for lunch, you stand near the door of Ye-on's class, waiting for her to walk out.
"(reader)! How was class?"
"It was okay, we just went over another topic for the next section of a test. What about you?"
"We barely did anything, it was worse than having loads of work." Reaching your usual lunch table, you see both you and your friend, Chiquita have a new face to introduce.
"Who's this?" Chiquita asks.
"I'm Ye-on, nice to meet you!"
"And who's this?" You ask, smiling at the unfamiliar girl.
"I'm Ian! Do you guys have any pets?"
"I had a dog." Chiquita says.
"I have a cat!" Ye-on answers.
"I don't have any pets right now, I'm still working on paying my bills." Chiquita and Ye-on laugh, but Ian looks confused.
"Oh, I'm emancipated." You answer before she asks herself, and she makes an understanding noise.
"I also have a cat! His name is Aru!" She proudly smiles.
"Aru?" You and Ye-on both repeat at the same time.
"Mhm!"
"If I had a cat, I would name it Koko." You say, trying to hint to her who you are. Ye-on nods and does the same thing.
"If I had another pet, I think my name of choice would be Melo!"
"Koko? Melo? Oh my god!?" Her jaw drops.
"Ppang will kill all of us! Except you, Chiquita, don't worry."
"I feel like I should? Who is Ppang?"
"Long story, just some rando." You quickly say.
"We'll be fine!" Ye-on plays it off.
"I'm trusting you, you're the second owner after all.."
Maybe the relationship you two have is more best friends than dating, but it's not like the two of you aren't happy with it. You, Ye-on, Chiquita, Amara, and Ian all make a friend group chat together, and it feels like your social life is finally thriving again after its dip in the previous school year.
i'm going on a trip to see family and will be gone for 2 weeks, so i'll likely not be posting at all for that time (i will still be revising/editing some future stories if i get the time)

i'm gone for two weeks but my package is being delivered the day after i leave and idk what to do when it gets delivered

yunah’s had a long week with all the tiring rehearsals she’s had recently, but she finally felt like she’s gotten some rest with the slightly longer break she has. She spent time with you again, slept a healthy amount of hours, and woke up to.. well, she woke up to the sizzling of something in the kitchen and your cackling at something alongside it. getting out of bed, hair and pajamas slightly rumpled, she walks over to the kitchen, wrapping her arms around your shoulders. stifling your laughs, you greet yunah a good morning. “what’s so funny?” she asks with a grin. your wide smile, however, dissipates. she tilts her head in confusion. your voice falters. “oh, uh, you wouldn’t think what i was laughing at was so funny.” “maybe i wouldn’t, but i still want to know.” “no, like.. you’d probably be pissed.” yunah sighs. “what is this about?” you gulp. "so, you know how we went on a date yesterday.." she slowly nods. you awkwardly look at moka from across the room, while she's sitting at a long table, sitting spaced far away from her other members. she occasionally glances at you, but can't do more than that. when you get your turn to sit with moka, you both hear a whisper from two people behind you. "isn't that moka's rumored girlfriend?" one girl questions, her voice bright and curious. "oh, yeah. she's pretty." the other girl responds, her voice melodic and more matured. "mhm." you two look at each other again and start laughing, her glossy lips curving up and her eyes creasing. when getting ushered to the next member, she covers her mouth enough so that people recording wouldn't see her as she mouths, "we'll talk more tonight, 'kay?" you nod, sitting down in front of yunah as she looks back at you knowingly. the other members have caught you two together a number of times, not really caring. the both of you are still giggling as you attempt to interact with the person across from you, even hearing light laughs behind you.
wonhee is cuddled up next to you, watching a movie, when you get ten consecutive rings from your phone. "bro, what the- oh my god." you've picked up your phone, wonhee looking at your phone too when your finger stops at a screenshot of things your friends sent to you in your groupchat. "what is it, babe?" wonhee shifts to sit up properly, trying to get a better look when you hide your phone, holding the screen against your chest and springing up from the couch. "babe, it can't be that serious." she laughs a bit, but after evaluating your expression- wide eyes, parted lips, slightly frowning- her face softens back to normal, gesturing to show the phone with her hand. after about ten seconds, you take your phone off your chest. handing over your phone, screenshot still showing on screen, wonhee takes a look at the post. her only reaction is a sigh, long and hard. "that's it?" "what do you mean, 'that's it'?!" she laughs. you suddenly get a ring from your phone, your thoughts straying from your girlfriend who's a room away from you to your phone. you get a post from one of your favorite fanpages, who quickly turns into a least favorite once you read the post. 'whoever this girl is should stay away from iroha.. iroha bby you deserve better :c' they also respond to several comments, all rude no matter the tone of the original comment. it might have been petty now that you think about it, but at that moment you dm the fanpage with a picture of yourself. 'thank you for the comments, it's because of all your hate <3' that song really stuck with you, the repetitiveness of iroha rerecording the one line getting to you. you look up to see iroha. "who are you messaging?" "you know that one fanpage i liked?" "oh yeah, i was meaning to tell you about the post. i was pissed to the point that i needed to take my mind off of it- and forgot." "i might have dmed them.." she laughs, grabbing your hand and pulling you up from the couch and out of the building to your car.
glad to be back! gonna disappear again though.. i was super stressed earlier due to the hearts2wish series because i wanted it to be over 5k words, but some stories just might have to be shorter and some might have to be longer, much to my dismay of wanting them to be longer and equal. but hopefully the first part of that series will come out in the next week!

You've been texting Sana about wanting to dye your hair, but have never gotten around to it. Now, she has your head tilted back in her tub while your legs are outstretched and you're almost laying down. The shower head is pulled down so she can properly rinse and wash your hair. "Can we get Neapolitan ice cream after this?" You ask her, batting your lashes as you do so. "You sure love Neapolitan things a lot, don't you?" Her eyes are fixated on your hair, which you made her dye brown, pink, and blonde. "Can you blame me? You get the best of all worlds instead of having to decide all the time.. or paying triple the price for everything!" She gives a tender smile. "My indecisive sweetheart. Yeah, we can get ice cream." "Thank you, baby."
The shower head stops and you turn your body around to wrap your arm around her neck, moving closer to kiss her. She doesn't immediately make a move, but not too much sooner, she pulls your bare figure flush against her, tracing little hearts on your back simply because the feeling always makes you giggle and she finds it endearing. She pulls you out of the tub, grabbing your towel for you to wrap around yourself and grabbing your heat protectant, spraying and spreading it along your freshly dyed hair. She plugs in the hairdryer, turning it up to full speed and quickly turning your hair from dripping to damp. You try to talk over the whirring sound, but you have no luck, staying silent instead.
"Done. It looks beautiful on you!" Sana grins in the mirror while you look at your reflection. "I love it! Thank you so much, Sana." "Of course, (reader). Now, you said you wanted ice cream? I'll grab some clothes for you." "It's fine, I can get it! Make sure you have your credit card ready, though!" You playfully wink at her, to which she just softly shakes her head as if disappointed, although her crinkled eyes say otherwise. You slip off your colorful towel to hang it on the metal rod mounted on the wall before padding over to the closet, grabbing pajamas and two jackets—one for you, one for Sana. You lay the jackets on the bed and slip your clothes on, Sana sitting on the bed. "Where do you want to buy from?" "We can just go wherever's closest. Ooh, can we look for other snacks too?" You grab both jackets, handing hers over. She stands up, slipping her jacket on as you zip yours up. The two of you intertwine hands on the short walk over to the grocery store.
The automatic doors slide open, welcoming you two in with a wave of warmer air. "Okay, I'll go look for snacks and you can get the ice cream. You remember what brand I like, right?" Sana nods, and she lets go of your hand as the two of you part ways. She almost immediately gets the item you wanted, then decides to window shop, going over to the toy section and looking and stuffed animals she thinks you'd like, evening picking out a cute one to buy for you.
You, however, are having slightly more trouble. A guy walks up to you and asks for your number. He's nice about it and nods understandingly when you tell him you don't like men, retreating over to his friends. Unfortunately, he doesn't get to relay the information about your sexuality over to them, as they storm up to you and practically yell at you. The guy repeatedly tries to make them back off, but they don't budge. "You probably don't even have a man, you're ugly anyways!" The man finally is able to yank them back, gives you a very apologetic expression, and pulls the two away, clearly upset at their behavior. It doesn't take much to tell who's the responsible one in their friendship, but you don't dwell on it too much when you see Sana.
"Hey! Got everything you wanted?" "Yeah." You tilt your head to look at the stuffed animal in the basket she's holding. "What's that about?" "I thought you'd like it." "I do. Thank you, Sana." "There's no need for that, really.." You place your items in the basket, holding hands with her again and weaving through a few groups of people to reach the self check-out station, quickly scanning your items, paying, and leaving through the automatic doors, the cool air hitting your face with a refreshing feeling compared to the warmer air that was just bordering an uncomfortable heat. You each are holding one bag as you both walk on the sidewalk to your home, both the streets and roads calmer at this hour. She unlocks the door once you reach home, pushing it open and closed with her free hand before grabbing your bag and putting all the items away in the pantry or freezer. "Sana!" "Hm?" Her voice is louder because of the distance between you two, her in the kitchen while you're in the garage.
"Would you let me dye your hair?" "I'd consider it, but last time you tried dying someone's hair, it fell off." "That was a doll!" She giggles. "If I feel like dying my hair, I'll tell you." You nod, walking over to her. She's leaning on the counter, and you wrap your arms around her waist, almost trapping her. You lean into her, head nuzzling into her neck. "I'm tired.. can we go to bed?" She caresses your head, answers your question with a simple 'mhm.', then grabs your hand once more, pulling you upstairs to your shared bedroom. Letting you collapse on the bed with a groan, she takes off her jacket and quickly hangs it on the stand, turning the main lights off, the only source of light being the LED lights that adorn your wall, set to a beautiful pink. She slips into bed, pulling the sheets over the both of you and grabbing your figure, letting you drape your leg over hers and pulling her impossibly closer, as if you're trying to make the both of you morph into one. She whispers in your ear, "Good night, honey." "Sleep well, Sana."

"Are you really still on Genshin?" You ask Moka. Moka whips her head back towards you, her hair whipping you in the process. "Says the one who's not even looking at me! You're still on Honkai, and I'm the bad one." "You spent more money!" "You offered to buy it for me!" "It was your birthday!" "It was our anniversary, actually!" "They're on the same day!" The two of you harmlessly bicker a lot, but recently it's been as if you're an 'old married couple', as Minju puts it.
"Let's check our bank accounts then and see who spent the most!" "We both know it's you, (reader)." "Just check.." "What's in it for me?" "You get a surprise, and not a fake one." The thing that you've started to realize more when you're with her other friends is the amount of teasing that's aimed towards the both of you being together. And how affected she is by it. Usually, she'd jokingly play into it. Which is how you came to the conclusion that Moka is in love with you, other than Yunah practically screaming it at the top of her lungs. She sighs. "Fine. This surprise better be good." "Oh, it will be." You give her a smile and a mischievous look, making her look at you weirdly before turning around and going on her phone to check.
"Let's see.. $1948?!" You laugh out loud before checking yours. "Oh, and look at this! $1927!" She grumbles about how that wasn't fair and she checks multiple times to make sure you didn't swap phones or anything like that. "I didn't do anything, Moka! You were here the whole time." "I at least get a surprise though, don't I?" You giggle. "Yeah. But I have one question." She tilts her head. "How do you feel about dating girls?" Her eyes widen. "Erm.. Wouldn't dream of it, I could never see girls like that.. Ew?" You shake your head. "I like girls.." "I love girls."
"What kind of girls?" "Ones that look and act and are exactly like you. But no one's like that except you. The real deal, am I right?" She lets out a soft laugh, but it seems to be more like releasing a sigh out of embarrassment. "Can you say something now.. Please?" "I like girls that are exactly like you. And you're right. No one like that exists." "The real deal!" "I'm not saying all of that." She pouts. "So you just hate me and want me to die, huh?" Your jaw drops at her dramatic words and say. "Fine! I want to be with the real deal! I want to be with you, Moka!"
"Oh, why thank you!" "Gosh, you suck." She decides to ignore your words, letting her arms snake around your torso. "Keep talking.." "Uh.. you're annoying, and you spend so much money on worthless things." "As do you. And I said keep talking, does it have to be insulting?" "Sorry.. you're thoughtful. And I appreciate that I can be someone you're more comfortable with, kind of able to be more extroverted and loud with." She lays you down, cuddling with you as you keep complimenting her, giggles bubbling out of her with each kind word you say.
