chrisanthony2112: Twenty years ago tomorrow - August 8, 2006 - we gathered in the ballroom of the historic Alexandria Hotel in downtown Los Angeles to create the photographs for My Chemical Romance’s masterpiece, The Black Parade.
To commemorate the anniversary of that amazing day - and the upcoming 20th anniversary of the album’s release on October 23 - Pre-orders are now open for a special collection of 12 signed fine art prints from the shoot.
The collection includes portraits of the band, characters from the world of The Black Parade, and two photographs that have never been seen before.
Each print is produced on exhibition-quality fine art paper, signed by me.
This exclusive anniversary release is available now through September 3, 2026, through my shop, Ripley’s Darkroom.
Over the coming days, I’ll be sharing stories about how we made these photographs: the pre-production, my first meeting with Gerard, the casting, the costumes and props, the remarkable people who took part, and the experience of working with My Chemical Romance at such an extraordinary moment in their history.
