“Oh my….”

“No. I’m not leaving!” She sighed heavily.

“Venus. I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s wrong.”

“Vee…” Lacey mumbled softly. “Are you okay?”

“Acting up how exactly?”

“Voices in my head, plants dying around me, rain...”

“Can you at least tell me what’s wrong?”

“Dark magic acting up, that’s all.”

“Somehow, I don’t believe you.”

“Because you know better, but I want to handle this myself.”

“Understandable,” she smiled. “Well good, I’m glad it was good.”

“How are you? How was your day?”

“Oh, sorry babe, I didn’t mean to scare you.” Lacey spoke softly. “I was just asking how your day went.”

Vee turned around, a smile on her lips. “It’s okay- I was just deep in thought that’s all,” she explained. “It was good, busy.”

“You zoned out for a second there, I was checking to see you were okay Vee.”

“I- Yeah, I’m fine,” she smiled, trying to convince herself more than him.

“ whoa, are you alright?”

“I’m good- you just scared me that’s all”

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” she laughed, “- you just startled me.”

I don’t have a reason not to trust him. 

“It sounds like it’s nap time.”

“Can’t! Have a ton of homework to do.”

“Alright, tell me what’s wrong.”

“Nothing’s really wrong, just tired.”

“You looked pretty zoned out.”

“Just thinking, guess I spaced out.”
