The picture on the left is the original.
The picture in the middle has been converted to black and white. I think that this composition is successful in black and white because the eye focuses more on the composition: the shape of the children in the statue become more pronounced. I increased the contrast to be able to delineate the shapes of the statues from the plants in the background.
The picture on the right was converted to split tone. I decided to use a green tone which links back to the forest background. The green tone is not as pronounced to contribute to the natural atmosphere.
