The picture on the right was converted to split tone. I decided to use a green tone which links back to the forest background. The green tone is not as pronounced to contribute to the natural atmosphere.

The right version is edited in order to bring up the shadows. The walls are brightened (exposure was increased); the curtain was brightened as well and the saturation of the pink color was heightened. The bottom right corner is also brightened, allowing for increased detail. Having less of a difference between dark and light colors almost seems to “open up” the image.

The bottom version is darker than the original. The shadows are darkened, contrast of colors increased, highlights slightly increased, and the exposure darkened. The greens, blues, and oranges are darker. I aimed at making this image appear stormier.
