Born in seventeen seventy-four, to a fisher and a maid. Both of whom were poor, but overjoyed at the unexpected welcome of their daughter. Both of her parents well into their thirties, had thought they were unable to bring a child into this world. Cecilia was slim and slow to grow, a quiet girl who spent her time looking out her little window. At the age of four, her father never came back from sea. If his boat had crashed, or if he had made the choice of his own, Cecilia would never know. The mourning period lasted long, and her mother never quite recovered. Instead she turned to religion to bring her peace, and Cecilia had watched her.
When she was old enough to work, she became a maid just as her mother was. In the houses of others, it was a small glimpse into another world. A world that Cecilia believed she would never have. At the age of twenty-six, Cecilia had an affair with the married son of her boss. It was reckless passion, fleeting and gone before it started. In return it resulted in a pregnancy, one that nearly cost her everything. She hid the pregnancy as long as she could, till her mother had learned the truth. She left her position of work, and had a long birth in their small home. Her mother took the child, to rid them of evident shame. And Cecilia began working at a new house three days later. Cecilia's mother had promised that the child would have a new family, so Cecilia took comfort in knowing that the child would be well taken care of.
Burying her mother at the age of thirty-five, the same age her mother had given birth to her. Cecilia had become a woman of regret, of anger. Angry at her circumstances. She had not seen the world, learned anything outside of what she was born into. She had been approached by men, but she found no comfort in their pretty words. She had no children. She had no children, to call her own. The babe that had left her was lost, and her heart ached for that child.
It happened at chance, the way Cecilia had found the one to turn her. In the right place at the right time. The idea of immortal life was unfathomable, and what else did Cecilia have to lose? She had taken the offer, and immortal she had become. The first year was fast and as reckless as her time with the married son. She shared a romance with her maker, and had developed a love for them as well. But after a few years had passed, Cecilia felt that she needed more. So she left. She traveled across the seas and forests, she met all sorts of people and learned whatever she desired.
Cecilia spent years looking for her lost child as well, knowing that they would be old or long dead. And finally she did. In a small town called Holloway. She had found that her child had children of their own, and that those children had grown. It was bittersweet, but she was happy that her child had a life, a good one. Unlike her own.
Eventually the desire for children came back, and worse than before. Cecilia created her second child then, by force. It was selfish and not controlled. That child of hers didn't stick around long, and Cecilia vowed to never let it happen that way again. She began asking, just as the choice had been given to her. Cecilia made countless vampires, some stayed, some left. She had finally made a family of her own.
With what has happened of late in Holloway, Cecilia has returned. She wants to protect her bloodline, her children. As well as the vampires that she has created.
