NAME: sansa of house stark. EPITHETS: little bird, the red wolf, lady stark, lady of winterfell, queen in the north. GENDER: cis woman, she/her/hers. SEXUALITY: lesbian. DATE / PLACE OF BIRTH: 283 AC, riverrun, the riverlands. AGE: mid teens - early twenties. OCCUPATION: lady of winterfell / queen in the north ( verse dependent ). CURRENT RESIDENCE: winterfell ( verse dependent ). FACECLAIM: ellie bamber ( main ), rachel hurd-wood ( young ). EYES: tully blue, like a river under sunlight -- or hard as ice in the frozen wastelands. HAIR: auburn-red, kissed by fire in certain lights. HEIGHT: 5'9" by the time of a clash of kings, almost always stood head-to-head with robb.

I. THE STARKS WERE A STRANGE HOUSE LONG BEFORE TRAGEDY BEFELL THE CURRENT GENERATION, though perhaps most prominent in ned stark's children -- or simply more noticeable due to their direwolf companions. sansa, so self conscious and worried of appearances before the royal court, used to have her incisors filed down, both to avoid the odd looks and drawing blood whenever she accidentally bit herself. they always grew back sharp. sometimes in the low light of candles or the moon, others may double take their glances when her blue eyes reflect gold -- like a predator in the wolfswood.

II. SO CLOSELY BONDED WERE THE WOLF TWINS THAT, when their warging abilities were awoken with the bonding of the direwolf pups, robb and sansa shared wolf dreams: to either look through the eyes of the other's wolf, or sometimes each other entirely. when lady died, sansa felt as if a part of her very being had been ripped out and stolen. after, she dreamed through grey wind's eyes sometimes, either his battles in the night or when he stood by robb, her only look upon her other half after their separation in winterfell. when robb was slaughtered at the red wedding, sansa woke violently in the night with the feeling of being stabbed several times over -- and felt for certain that she was very, very alone. ( i see it as being a little off balance. learning to walk again with an amputated limb, but for her, it's in everything: walking, breathing, dreaming. there is forever an intrinsic part of her that has been lost. )

III. ON STORYLINES AND SANSA'S FATE: as i am still making my way through the books and they are still being written, i acknowledge that my idea for where sansa's story concludes is likely not the same as grrm's. especially considering my au here, i have always liked the idea of sansa inheriting winterfell as both her father and robb's heir in some way, and rebuilding there with whoever has reunited in her family and decided to stay. ( what the fuck was that s8 ending. ) but as for the how, when, why's of getting there: that's the fun of it! i am open to continuing the vale storyline and where she might go afterwards, or forging a completely different journey from where and how she escapes king's landing. the possibilities are, literally, limitless. i am also more than happy to write post-series threads with her as the ruling head of winterfell. ( redo of the long night anyone?? )

II. ACTIVITY WILL FLUCTUATE SPORADICALLY DUE TO WORK SCHEDULE. response time does not equal my interest in threads, and responses to ims / discord does not equal time to write.

III. I PREFER PLOTTED INTERACTIONS, even something as simple as getting the ball rolling for a dynamic or situation: i don't need a fully planned storyline and endgame, but it is nice to know how and why our characters are interacting. however, memes are always a surefire way to get something going.

IV. I USE FAIRLY BASIC FORMATTING with some double / triple + spaces, tumblr's built-in fonts, and some colored text. sometimes i will match my partner on regular or small text, it depends. but please let me know if my writing is ever an issue for you to read and i will happily adjust accordingly !

V. MATURE AND POTENTIALLY TRIGGERING CONTENT WILL BE PREVALENT ON THIS BLOG. though i do not write nsfw, the inherent themes of asoiaf and its sister media are dark, featuring but not limited to violence, gore, crude & sexual language, etc. i will do my best to tag appropriately and please always ask if there is something else you need tagged -- however, there are events and themes i will not whitewash, so interact with your own discretion. please always dictate your space to your comfort!
