Today, people have the power to have a say in where our country is heading. People can create change, so please go out and VOTE. Within all different ideas, personally, I find one major issue: THE ENVIRONMENT. That’s it for me, without a healthy planet taxes, guns, education, immigration, abortion, gender equality, jobs, etc., matters. Is that simple, we won’t have a future if we don’t vote for a party that believe in science, climate change and green energy. That’s why it’s so important to vote for the Democrats today. Driving solo on my way to Altun Ha in Belize I got lost. The Old Northern Highway took me to what I believe is Lucky Strike, a small settlement and true natural paradise. Belize has more than 4,000 different species of flowering plants, 700 species of trees, 500 species of birds, and dozens of unique mammals. The earliest European settlers in Belize came to the country because of the rich variety of valuable hardwoods, including mahogany, logwood, and chicle. Their humble yet beautiful wooden homes captured my attention. Some houses are now made of cement, as hurricanes are a threat to this community. The Serengeti National Park eco-system is the oldest on the planet. In more than 1 million years, little has changed in the park. The wild animals, the plants and waterways are still largely intact as they were one million years ago. Amazingly, the oldest remains of man (2 million years ago) were discovered here by the famous East Africa archaeologist, Dr. Leakey. East Africa has around 62 species of acacia trees which six are endemic to Tanzania. My favorite trees, the Acacias, can grow as trees and shrubs but the most classic acacia are umbrella tree which has become almost a symbol of the African bush. Tanzania’s Ngorogoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. Two or three million years ago, this crater formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself. Approximately 25,000 large animals live here. It was a dream come true to observe this beautiful creatures in their natural environment without filters, editing or color retouching from nature documentaries. @paulreich and I had the luck to finish the year climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Reaching the summit wasn’t the highlight of the journey for me but discovering the richness of the route we chose to take during 9 days. We hiked trough a lush forest, foggy heathers, cool and clear moorland, hazy volcanic lands and a highly elevated alpine dessert until reaching a summit with arctic conditions. We were completely disconnected from technology so we were present and aware every day.
