"they're being ridiculous." kara huffs, pacing back and forth like it's actually personal the way her day has gone to shit. it's not rare for her to be written up- it's actually laughably common. she's one of those funny little jokes, unstoppable force and an immovable object all in once. today thought? she has to admit she doesn't actually agree that its her fault for once. "they said, kara, deal with the thing." she declares, huffing as she plops down in the booth across from mercedes. "i dealt with the thing!" "if they didn't want it fucking dead- maybe preface that! how am i supposed to know the blood leeching scaley thing isn't supposed to be shot on sight when it has nothing but teeth for a face!" it'd been like a horror movie. a bad one, with shitty special effects.

"well, well - and another well, look what the night dragged in." atlas calls out with a laugh as he sees the door open. there's a glint of amusement as much as there is exasperation. silas is going to be a fucking annoyance finding out his staff is loitering around the dart. "you trying to steal trade secrets?" he muses, putting the towel over his shoulder and leaning against the wooden bar. it's an old thing but well loved- though he probably should get a replacement for some of the shelves in the back at this point. he turns, grabbing a familiar shaped bottle, for himself if anything. "you're lucky it's a calm night, so i can be sociable."

"you know, i'm going to start taking offense to you just sitting there and staring at the alcohol i serve you." atlas muses, eyeing mercedes in a mixture of amusement and understanding. he's been there, more than he'd like to admit. and to his understand from what people has said in passing- some of the fang-y types like to just stare at the alcohol they order. some attempt at normalcy. can a vampire get drunk? hell if he knows, he just knows some come and throw down shots like it's nothing and then ask if he serves blood. like it's a normal thing bars do. granted he does have blood bags laying around but that's not the point. "need to share your woes or is this one of those, just sit quietly at the bar in the mood lighting kind of days?"

who: anyone where: the deal

the deal, continues to be one of kara's favourite places to be a menace. maybe it's because she knows the owner. that's a perk within itself, knowing silas likes her enough to not snap her head off if she gets too excited or something. "there's these fancy coloured shots." she declares, hands fishing up her phone from her back-pocket. "found them on the oh-so-wise site of reddit, where people never fucking explain anything unless prodded with a firepoker." kara continues to explain, scrolling her phone with squinted eyes before finally turning it around and practically shoving the thing into their face. "and isn't it just the cutest thing? but i've yet to figure out what is in them so i dunno how to ask for them, right?" she purses her lips, sighing."it's probably just fancy coloured tequila or something, isn't it?"

the sound of soft rock travels across the bar, the low-lights and lack of people practically enough to lull one to sleep. it's one of those rare moments where atlas hasn't found himself running from spot to spot behind the bar, eyeing people as they go from shadow to shadow. no- it's a calm night ━ as much as he doesn't love using that term. the door opens, someone escaping the port james late night rain, he's sure. "still pissing down outside?" he asks from where he is standing, back turned to the bar, eyes locked onto a bottle he's trying to find a spot for. there's still some obvious louisana in his voice, that cajun accent never really goes away. "they said on that fancy weather segment this morning that it'd be pouring for the whole week." he glances back, eyebrow raising in question. he can't say he is jealous. atlas would be the first to admit that the perk of being his own boss is that he not only makes the hours. he gets to stay however long he damn pleases.

doesn't that look just like MICHAEL B JORDAN ? but it isn’t! that's ATLAS HARDING, but they also go by ATLAS, a local HUMAN. they pay that expensive port james rent by working over at THE DART as an OWNER . they’re 40, believe it or not. we've  heard whispers of the street that they're CARING, UNDERSTANDING, PATERNAL , but some say they're STUBBORN, CRITICAL, UNCOMMUNICATIVE, but one would guess you’d have to talk to them to find out . if we had to describe HIM ourselves, we’d probably say they remind us of NOTTING HILL.

doesn't that look just like FLORENCE PUGH ? but it isn’t! that's KARA SAWYER, but they also go by K, a local VAMPIRE. they pay that expensive port james rent by working over at THE SEWARD INSTITUTE as a HUNTER . they’re 40 BUT LOOK 29 , believe it or not. we've  heard whispers of the street that they're ASSERTIVE, HARD-WORKING, BOLD , but some say they're PETTY, SARCASTIC, BRASH, but one would guess you’d have to talk to them to find out . if we had to describe HER ourselves, we’d probably say they remind us of THE LOST BOYS.
