This is definitely my last post, in which I give you the resources you need to support group and individual activities of SHINee in the future. WHERE CAN I PURCHASE PHYSICAL ALBUMS? Talking about Korean products, most popular websites in which you can purchase physical albums as also dvd / blurays (and even goods in some of them) are Kpopmart, Kpoptown, KTown4U, YesAsia and Music Plaza(this last one distributes ONLY in USA). Physical albums that you purchase from any of these websites count directly in Hanteo Chart. When it comes to Japanese products, you can purchase them also through YesAsia, and sites as Tower Records, CDJapan and HMV. WHERE ARE PHYSICAL SALES COUNTED? Physical albums are counted in Hanteo (which counts real time purchases and it’s the chart music shows use for the percentage of sold physical albums) and Gaon (which counts physical sales but also digital sales, digital streaming and other categories in a weekly frequence). To check the real time chart of Hanteo is needed to have a Korean number, while Gaon can be checked publicly. WHAT ABOUT DIGITAL STREAMING? There’s many, many Korean music sites, but some of them do not allow streaming for international fans (as Melon and Monkey3). Music websites that do allow digital streaming for i-fans are Genie, Bugs, Naver Music,MNET, Olleh and Soribada. Digital streaming counts in different percentages in music shows to get a win, and nowadays the percentage of digital streaming is way higher than physical sales’ percentage. You can find a resource post with tutorials to stream in some of these music sites HERE. CAN I CHECK THE DIGITAL CHARTS IN REAL TIME? Yes you can, click on the upcoming links to check real time charts of these sites: Melon, Genie, Bugs, Naver Music, MNET, Olleh, Soribada. Most of these charts have a TOP100: a first page shows 1~50 ranking, and you must go down the page to find the link to the 51~100 positions. All of these charts are updated every hour (following KST), except Soribada, which is updated every 10 minutes. STREAMING ON ITUNES OR SPOTIFY DOES COUNT IN KOREAN MUSIC CHARTS? No, it doesn’t count. However, streaming in both places does count in charts as Billboard and, of course, streaming on iTunes gives chances to appear on iTunes charts. CAN I SUPPORT SHINEE FOR FREE? Of course! HERE you can find some things you can do for free. HOW DO MUSIC SHOWS WORK? You can find information HERE. WHERE CAN I FIND STREAMING LINKS? For Korean TV shows and radio shows, you can find links in aqstream. For concerts (Korean, Japanese, overseas) shawols tend to use mixlr. When the concert it’s about to start, search for “mixlr” on twitter and you might find shawols sharing their links / shawols streaming other shawols links. HOW CAN I KNOW AT WHICH TIME A SCHEDULE WILL START IN MY TIMEZONE? Visit worldtimebuddy to compare your timezone with others. Usually Taemin and SHINee have activities in Korea (KST) and Japan (JST) but you can check many other timezones if they go overseas. HOW CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS FOR SHINEE CONCERTS? For Korean concerts, tickets are usually sold through yes24, while for Japanese concerts tickets are sold through Tickebo usually following a lottery system; this lottery will give the chance to SWJ Official Fanclub members to participate first, to then probably give option to a general lottery. In both of these cases, you can go to this tutorial to know how to join SWJ and understand how Tickebo works. On the other hand, SM offers special global packages through the platform SMTOWN TRAVEL. Global packages consist of tickets for one or two attendees, but also room(s) in a hotel, menu, special merchandise and transportation and guide, for international fans that decide to attend concerts in Seoul. SM doesn’t usually offer global packages for concerts in Japan, but they can do it in special occasions (as, for example, in previous SHINee concerts in Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome).
