KFC Design/Theme Inspo
The considered tone for the bucket is to be celebratory, energetic and bold with some swagger. So I created a mood board that visualises those themes.

KFC Brief Customer Profile
‘Create a fresh new design for the KFC bucket that will contemporise it, and elevate it to true iconic status’
KFC’s target audience are groups of 2 or more 18 - 34 year olds. I created a customer profile showcasing different groups of people in that age range.
Task 1- Design Agency
I haven chosen the design agencies; Bread Collective & I Love Dust

I like how simple and precise their work is and its also interesting to see digital and traditional. They have worked with a lot of brands which include Asos, Nike, Bryon, Samsung, Converse, D&AD.
I Love Dust is a UK based agency based in UK, with studios in Brighton and South-sea. They specialise in design concepts illustration, brand identity & experimental design. Not Enough Time Animation
Final footage
Black hole forming
Once the stop motion was filmed we wanted it to look more surreal and creative. So we drew over the frames to exaggerate the motions. Also to make the black hole look darker I used the smudge tool to darken the edges of the frame

More unedited footage of maze
From the experiment with the eraser, this maze footage also turned out well
Brush drawing
I decided over one images from the storyboard that my team member drew. I done it frame by frame so it shows the whole picture being drawn
Creating paint brush
I wanted to make my own paint brush to use for part of the digital animation. So i used acrylic paint to create the shapes, choose the best one and scanned it into photoshop.
The process of changing the levels to get rid of the background .
I learnt how to create my own brush by watching a youtube video where i was able to adjust the size, texture of the brush
Maze Experiment
Instead of making the maze out of cardboard i had the idea of using jenga blocks. This is a test to see if would work & it came out well

Development
We decided produce our animation using stop motion and digital animation.
My team member drew the characters and digitally drawn them on photoshop so that I could them out ready for filming the stop motion
This was time consuming because of the amount of frames
I designed the to do list by first writing the tasks on paper, then image tracing on Illustrator. To create the black hole I used a black eclipse with a grainy texture.
Stop Motion Experiment of an hour glass timer using thread for the outline and rice as sand
This is a moving storyboard with all our images put together
Storyboard - Sketches
Sketches of my storyboard which show the woman entering the maze feeling lost and confused.
As she comes to a dead end the walls start showing negative words which reflects her subconscious.
By not being able to complete her expected tasks she feels inadequate. Once she starts running hypnotic swirls form in her eyes and comes out the black hole.
Her old list is no good so she throws it away and creates a new list that is more organised. This list she is able to know whats urgent and important and whats not urgent and unimportant
Visual MoodBoard
Collection of images that inspired our ideas, we was drawn towards a surreal space concept

Tiffany Dufu Research
Rsa Moving Images
Our chosen audio is Not Enough Time - Tiffany Dufu
Answer to the brief is to produce an animation by working as an equal collective. As a graphic design student I had to use my creative skills to find new ways to produce an animation. The audio is directed towards women so the target audience of the animation is aimed at.
Group task we had to write a short summary of the transcript and pick out 3 keywords
Description of the audio : ‘its about prioritising and managing tasks that a woman expects to din 24 hours. The expectation we have is never met which leads to the feelings of being a failure.
