I know that cis men are capable of being great people which is why it’s so frustrating when they suck. Your gender isn’t inherently bad at doing the dishes. You’re just a thoroughly unpleasant person.

When I started taking T I didn’t magically forget how to use a broom, which my single dad taught me how to use. There’s nothing about testosterone or having male bits that makes your brain incapable of comprehending super duper complicated concepts such as boiling water or not being sexist. You’re an adult. Put the curry in the glass container, change your son’s diaper, and don’t harass your waitress. It’s not that complicated.

just saw a booktoker say in full seriousness that we need to discuss the “absolute uselessness of spicy scenes in books” (her words, not mine) and claim that erotic content is only justifiable in literature if it “furthers the plot or character development of the book.” my sister in christ just say that you hate fun and move on. we do not need a sixty second video of you complaining that your fellow adults like adult content. fellas is it problematic to be horny without furthering your plot and character development

it is not a moral failing to have a sexuality and to enjoy literature that engages with your sexual desires. likewise you are not more morally pure because you exclusively read books without “spicy scenes.” (grow up, call it erotica.) human sexuality is morally neutral ! having sexual desires does not make you a bad person no matter what the underlying puritanism of usamerican culture would have you believe !!

to that point: no one is making you read erotic content if you don’t want to. it’s unbelievably easy to find book reviews that will tell you what to expect in a book you’re thinking about reading and if it will contain erotic scenes. if you don’t like it, don’t read it. but certainly do not get on the internet and start shaming other people for enjoying literature that caters to normal human emotions, e.g. arousal and sexual desire
