Thereās an episode of Sesame Street (on Netflix! you can watch it easily!) where Elmo attends a toy-swap, where you offer up old toys you donāt play with anymore and receive someone elseās toys that are new to you. Cute!
But Elmo, after cheerfully surrendering his old toys, sees that the children who swapped toys with him are playing with his toys āwrongā! Theyāre imagining entirely different make believe scenarios! Theyāre pretending the football is a dinosaur egg instead of a rocket ship! Aaahhhhh!!!! And this is so distressing to poor Elmo that he does the unthinkable: He does swapsies-backsies and takes all his toys back!
This being Sesame Street, he learns that you canāt control how other people play pretend, but you can join in if you want to! And if you donāt want to, thatās ok, you can just play pretend your own way by yourself or with someone else who wants to play that way too. You can still be friends with people who play pretend differently than you (and arenāt being mean/harmful/etc, do not bad-faith-read this š¤Ø).

literally the first day I met him I was like āthis guy talks and acts like heās trying to be an anime villainā and somehow it didnāt occur to me that he was trying to be a specific anime villain.
heās the guy from this post in which I really downplayed just how fucking weird he was because it distracted from the point of the story but oh my god. I swear to god he quoted lines from the show. he kept his fingernails filed into sharp points for slashing damage. he thought suddenly appearing behind you and grabbing you by the throat was a really funny way to greet you. do you know how much psychic damage I am taking from this revelation? do you know???? after our first fight he brushed himself off and said āoh what fun that was!ā in this stupid voice, even though Iād kicked his ass. I canāt believe I thought I was maybe going to be murdered by an alcoholic hisoka kinnie. how do I un-know this.

do you have any more ideas for the siren au with Antonš£. Thatās been my favorite story so far the way you wrote it was so creative and I loved seeing Anton in a mythical setting. I would love to hear any headcanons you have for that AU. I canāt stop thinking about Anton and the siren learning more about each other and forming some semblance of a normal relationship. The hair-brushing scene and the ending are my favorite parts of that story and I liked the fic being from Antonās pov but I would love to know what the siren was thinking or how she feels about their relationship

Unfortunately I don't really have many other ideas apart from the fact that they continue to dance around one another on and off for a few years...
I think the siren thinks of him like a special little pet until she realizes that's how he thinks of her and then she gets mad about it lmao and probably sometime after that they get more genuinely serious.
