Just imagine all of them, waking up in the ruined, un-reclaimed areas of the City, slowly making their way towards the Tower, and along the way they meet friends and family who survived who thought they had lost them forever but now they’re back again

And the survivors take the confused new Guardians back home and show them their old photo albums and tell them all about themselves

And, while Zavala is usually against Guardians learning their past, he makes an exception for these Guardians not for their own sakes, but for the sakes of the survivors who thought their sibling/child/parent/partner was gone forever who get a second chance

not just because it’s screaming in defiance against extinction, that alone is cool,

but the context, the context!

You’re in the vault of glass, against an enemy that feels destined to win, that they will eventually rewrite the laws of existence to assert their supremacy. Atheon transports half your team to different points in time, the battle feels unwinnable

But you refuse to quit, you find a way forward, and by the power of a fallen guardian casting a light in to the future, you find a way to win against what was thought unbeatable. You found out a simple truth that has carried you forward, something you proved again and again, against the gods and tyrants that would destroy your home.
