Maybe silence will be our love language this year. Maybe He did hear me and is only trying to slow time so we get to be with each other a little longer. Or maybe, God finally gave me a chance to Be there for you in ways only He decides best. It might be our one chance to hold each other a little more intentionally.

But when this is all done, I hope I can still meet you on the other side as your littlest girl that loves you most, Dad.

And, when we do, I pray I no longer have to convince you that She did deserve to be loved by you.

We might not have been at our best this year. But as your troubled child, I did my best by your side. There's so much love about this picture that my heart might fail to conceal.

So, I'll keep it safe in His arms. Until you finally come find me.
