in nola, its claudia micromanaging with an eye and ear on everyone. she nurses louis after the drop, she maintains the thread of their plotting. in europe, its claudia learning the languages, claudia keeping up the story, claudia maintaining hypervigillance. she notices the bombs about to blow while louis’ being woeful and hallucinating lestat. louis gets to be lost in lestats eyes; louis gets to dance with humans in romania; louis gets to run around paris ‘out on the streets’ while shrugging off armands warnings. louis gets to be careless, gets to be oblivious, gets to drown in his pain and still be protected and unconditionally loved. what louis couldnt even give her

the headcanon is a grave misreading of the characters but i like it in my mindhole where nightlight is sort of a base being with one sole instinct purpose to guard MIM,

i like the idea that MIM resurrected jack just to give nightlight a vessel and continue his fight against the darkness pitch causes, and didn’t really care about anything else (jacks own well-being, memories, livelihood etc) jacks willingness for self sacrificing and heroism recklessness etc just makes it kinda

I saw on Twitter the image on the left, a detail of The Fencing Lesson, a work by Alcide-Théophile Robaudi and, don't ask me why, I thought it would be a great base for a Sherlock portrait (even if the original model is a kid, which is not super obvious from the cropped image on the left 😅)

Anyway, I'm adding this artwork on my already long list of artworks to finish, list that already include artworks devoted to Spider-Man (twice, two different Spideys), Spideypool, Supernatural, Sherlock, and Steve Rogers. The Sherlock art inspired by The Fencing Lesson will be the only one to have the texture of an oil painting though, the other ones are closer to this style or this one. I also need to finish 3-4 speed painting I did to practice a more "dynamic" style and stop focusing on details. 🙄
