Got through 1 and a half of the Area 88 OVA on a airplane fight. I fell asleep on the way back so never watched the rest of it, thinking we’d get a happy silly sweet ending. Hello there! My name is Caroline but I’m generally known as Cirno on the internet. I am a photomanipulation artist and matte painter who generally likes to use their artform to bring various Videogame/Anime places and people to life!

When and how did you join the Touhou fandom, what was your first game?

I joined the touhou fandom in 2009, but my first game was Imperishable Night!

What do you like about Touhou?

I love my shumps! I’ve always been a big fan of Gradius and R-Type so it was natural that I would gravitate towards danmaku quickly. I had found the old memes relating to Ronald Mcdonald and then fining out it was a shump, that had GIRLS instead of ships and fantastic music with historical references? I couldn’t like it any more. I love how many interesting little tidbits of Japanese folklore I’ve picked up from Zun and the buried stories that he makes into wonderful character designs.

Who’s your favourite Touhou character?

I LOVE PARSEE MIZUHASHI.

What’s your favourite Touhou game?

Imperishable Night! Still and forever!

What’s your favoutite Touhou stage/miniboss/boss theme?

Great Fairy Wars Extra Stage versus Marisa / Seija / Green Eyed Jealously.
