I’ve literally had people ask me if I work at several stores before because I’m cleaning up after myself??? like they are asking me for help and I’m like “idk I don’t work here” then they are like “then why are you cleaning?”

Please be considerate of retail workers this holiday season.

Other nice things you can do: put clothes back on hangers after trying them on and neatly fold the clothes that are not hung. Clean out your dressing room and hand the clothes you don’t want to the attendant. If you change your mind about an item but aren’t sure where it goes, give it to an associate instead of just leaving it on the nearest surface.

Have yet to work in retail but it’s sad it’s not common sense to clean up after yourself, something I learned as a child and learned (since I work in food) that so many people don’t do this
