I'm sure you've been asked this a thousand times by now, but I can't seem to find an answer on Tumblr, so here goes: What program do you use to make your ascii art? I'm particularly curious about the one you use for the skulls and goose arts
Thanks for the question! For the skull and goose videos, I used GNU Emacs, but any other console text editor will do the job (Vim, Nano β you name it). Sometimes, I also use MS Word β but just for kicks. You only need to disable autocorrect, spell check, etc. However, Word is a bit less responsive compared to the console editors.
Either way, that's the cool thing about ASCII art β you can do it in any program, as long as you have a good-looking monospace font.
Everyone keeps asking 'wen lambo?' but no one ever asks 'how lambo?'

What youβre doing is impressively amazing! What inspired you to do it in the first place?
First, thanks for the kind words!
It all started in the early 2000s. Once I came across an article about ascii art, printed in a computer security magazine. I was impressed with the idea of creating images from text and wanted to do it too. Began to practice, got acquainted with other artists online (back then, the demo-scene was still relatively alive), and even released my works with an art group for a few years. In about 2007, the group broke up, and I stopped creating. But years later, I realized that ascii art still excites me.
