Vacancy Tour

Mohawk - Austin, TX - Friday November 17th 2017

It was a sold out night for my “We’re Not Going Anywhere” release show. My two pals, Matthew Logan Vasquez and Small Houses, opened up the evening and all was right in the world. Life was beautiful as 800 of us all came together to celebrate the power of music and community. Personally, I was incredibly nervous (It’s possible I drank a little too much pre-show) but the band played brilliantly and by the third or fourth song I caught up and rode the wave. We slayed. We felt simultaneously like kids and kings. It was a night for the books and one I look forward to topping sometime down the road. - David Ramirez

I would love to share your story. However, if you'd like to share I do have a few guidelines. Trust me, they are simple.

1. Please take a CURRENT photo of your venue. Why? I find it necessary to document what life looks like during this specific time.

2. Please take your picture during the time bands or artists would typically be loading in (3pm-7pm generally). Why? This would normally be a time when the venue would be coming to life. Lines might start forming by the box office, musicians and stage hands could be loading in gear, bouncers and security might be having their pre-shift smoke, PA's might be wrangling catering, etc. Since typically this time block would be lively, I'd like to showcase the current silence and inactivity.

3.  Write down your favorite memory in said venue. Please include the date your story took place and include the date and time you took your current photo.

4. Either e-mail your submission to [email protected] with "Vacancy Tour" in the subject line or send a DM on Instagram to the @vacancytour page.
