collider's new article on the iwtv fandom pretends to have solidarity with victims of online harassment while obfuscating antiblackness as the principal motivator here. this is not comparable to wincest vs. destiel "ship wars", nor is it appropriate to pedestal the suggestion that people only care in order to virtue signal to their friends. this article has allowed comments disparaging ash and citing him as the perpetrator in the sdcc doxxings which, if i have to say for the millionth time, he was a VICTIM of, with zero backlash. i made a polite reply informing future readers that this commenter is completely false in their accusations and that their citing of autumn brown's coverage of it ignores the fact that all of her arguments are predicated on the racist belief that black fans discussing race and the racist harassment they have received (the topic of the article itself, no?) are a disruptive, bullying force which justifies their scapegoating here. my comment was removed twice in less than an hour. but the original can stay and victimise ash further. of course.

#the article's writer is apparently aware of this and frm what i understand doesnt have control over the comment section so im not #blaming its removal on her. though i think the article still invites itself to heavy scrutiny. if you are going to profit from platforming #ash then you have a duty to protect him from further backlash.
