Violetta was traipsing along the corridors, her focus directed toward the floor as she moved each foot in front of the other. In her mind, she was on a tightrope, as she usually was. It was a silly little thing she did to help pass the time. Unfortunately, her attention was cut short as she heard a noise behind her and turned away, her feet however still walking. There was someone there. Just before she had a chance to see who it was she felt her body come into contact with a cold, hard object. The wall. Violettaās body gave way and she fell to the floor, bringing a hand to nurse her head. She prayed that whomever was behind her hadnāt witnessed the incident. Or if they had, that they wouldnāt think of her as the asylum klutz.

āSomeone who likes drawing,ā Violetta muttered, looking up to the girl. She was placed in a chair nearby, her legs dangled over itās arms swaying left and right. She held a book in her hands, but sheād long drifted off from paying any attention to it. It was there solely to keep her occupied.Ā āI, um, can help?ā
āStarting to think people are moving things around just to make fun of me,ā Blake muttered to himself as he entered the rec room. It was clear that chairs had been moved around and a few were even missing.Ā āAnd quite frankly, Iām not laughing at the joke.ā
āIām not sure itās too make fun of you,ā Violettaās eyes found the floor as she began to shuffle her feet.Ā āI think itās more of a living kind of thing, yāknow? Who wants a tour of my room? Iāve just organized everything. Itās pretty stellar, color coded and all.
āSure!ā Violetta grinned, entwining her hands together.Ā āI mean, there doesnāt seem to be anything newĀ to do so...ā Her voice trailed off, growing progressively quieter and quieter, until she raised her head and smiled again, looking anywhere but toward the girl.
āHey, does anyone want a funky braid? Iām totally out of practice, but I used to love doing fishtails and waterfalls and everything like that.ā
"H-how about a fishtail?" Violetta smiled, taking a few strands of hair between her fingers and pointing them toward the girl. "Would you mind?" She stood on her toes, swinging back and forth.
Violetta Thibault is twenty-one and looks like sheās happy, but sheās always on the border of breaking down. She can thank her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for that. She was admitted on August 24, 2014.
Violettaās life changed about four months ago; she and her family were going out of town to spend a weekend in their family cabin. When they were almost an hour away from the cabin, Violettaās dad hit some black ice, causing the car to veer off course and into a barrier on the side of the mountain. Violetta ended up thrown from the vehicle and was in a coma for nearly three months. Her mother and brother werenāt so lucky and died before emergency services arrived. Her father is still in a coma, though doctors are doubtful he will ever wake up.
Immediately after waking up, Violetta asked about her family. After hearing the devastating news, Violetta fell into a deep depression. Her body had recuperated completely, but her mind had continued to be fragile. No matter what she did, she would end up with memories of the crash running through her head and her senses overloaded with the last memory of her family. A few weeks ago, Violetta tried to kill herself. After her grandparents found out, they immediately signed her up to get treatment.
Violetta is quiet, and only speaks when spoken to, if at all. She can often be seen looking wary as she walks the halls. Violetta rarely keeps eye contact and has constant panic attacks.
