6 years ago today marks the beginning of a new era in music. I remember hearing House of Balloons in April of 2011. It was a magical experience. The Weeknd had yet to show his face, the only thing known about him was his Canadian roots and his stage name. Since the release of this album, Abel has only continued to grow and excel as an artist and a performer. I cannot believe how quickly time flies, I feel like this album was released just a year ago, not six. I feel blessed to have called myself a fan for this long, and am honestly in awe at how far he has come, from being virtually unknown to this mainstream success. Happy Anniversary to House of Balloons. May the future only bring more amazing music from The Weeknd. xo
