John hasn't been sleeping.

Okay, that's not entirely accurate. John hasn't been sleeping at night. He hasn't been doing much of anything, really. He hasn't made a public appearance in weeks and even the people he lives in the tower with don't see him outside of missions anymore.

His quarters stay dark and so do the bags under his eyes. Most nights he can be found laying in an unmade bed with a glass of whiskey in his hand and the TV on mute, sometimes the glass is skipped over entirely and he goes straight for the bottle. If he's not there then he's wondering the halls of the tower, lost in a seemingly never ending thought spiral.

He naps on and off throughout the day, mostly just to make the time pass quicker. He doesn't want to admit it but it's also partially so he can avoid everyone.

It's self sabotage, he knows it. He misses his kids and his friends and his team. He knows he's being a bad dad but he feels like a bad dad when he's active in his kid's lives too so what the hell is he supposed to do?
