hello old friend. 

it’s a really long story honestly and i’m not sure i want to get into all the details.. but here’s the jist of it. 

i’ve been in a four year graduate school program and somewhere along the way i truly lost myself. how far gone was i? i was going to quit a four year long program after my third year. that’s how far. 

i was depressed. i was alone. i was lost. i didn’t know who i was anymore. 

am i found? that’s a good question. have i found myself? i don’t know if i can completely say yes, but what i can say is that i feel closer to finding myself again.

i’ve been through a lot in the last few years. a lot of growing. a lot of learning. and as painful and as difficult as it has been, one thing has remained the same for as long as i can remember. 

there’s always a time when things start to look up. and this is one of those times. (well kind of). i WANT it to be one of those times. for some reason i had an urge to return to my tumblr. but this time, i just want to write. 

i used to be good at it. i used to feel brave and honest when i wrote. i used to feel most like myself. i guess i just want that back again. so here’s to (another) new start. 

the great thing about life is that there’s always time to start over (:
