if i dont follow you right away, or at all please dont take it personally. i like to keep my dash clear and not too cluttered. communication is also extremely important to me in roleplay- as most of my interactions are pretty plot dependent.
it is important to note that i write the twins from several points in their life. and it can range anywhere from 17 ( when we're introduced in twst ) - 20 + ( any point in their life after their time at NRC ), and beyond that even if i choose explore their life after NRC, and where their choices and behavior lead them.
keep in mind I am divergent, and play a lot into the potential horror aspects of the character. I can do meet cutes and slice of life situations but...there will always be unsettling undertones. the twins are not human, and i like that about them, it's part of what drew me to the characters in the first place.
i do not affiliate with the twst rpc or fandom at large.
i practice ship exclusivity. and i ask if you have a ship with me, that the particular dynamic we have been mutually exclusive. this is especially applied to any kind of romantic shipping. idm if people write with multiple of the same muse, but i dislike reusing and recycling something i've taken a lot of time to plot out.

okay i did get a small update on my commissions ( the timing is hilarious ). so this blogs remake could be in a few days actually idk. i plan on carrying everything over, which will take some time? including active threads and drafted asks i have. i don't wanna lose plotted stuff, and i'd like to maintain some of the consistency i do have going, keep it as seamless as i can...
i may use this time to like, work myself out some. take a small break. so i'll be mostly just lurking, and may toss some asks at people when im feeling it.

jade and riddle do seem to get along. they are able to talk, and be around one another in a mostly positive manner. and, in fact, riddle and jade have a mutual admiration for how the other operates. at least in regard to schoolwork, and magic in itself. there are a good amount of interactions too, where jade is offering help, or advice to riddle. such as ( my personal favorite here ) how to tell himself and floyd apart the easiest. and it sticks! it works! they are also in the same class i believe, so they spend more time together than they might otherwise. which i think gives them motivation, and a bit of space to become friends... of a sort.
their friendship is probably surface level. i.e they're school friends, but it doesn't really go past that. because riddle, brilliant and perceptive as he is-- knows jade isn't at all who he presents himself to be. jade is two faced, conniving, and an opportunist at heart. his own gain comes first, even at the expense of other.
back to floyd... i don't think that jade and riddle can at all develop further with his brother continuously harassing riddle. maybe if jade put a little more effort into getting his brother to stop. which is probably not going to happen without a good reason to. he might ask him, or bring it up, but there isn't a whole lot of effort or pressure that goes into those conversations. not unless it immediately effects his place as the vice to octa.
jade thinks it's funny. what i dont think a lot of people realize, is that he is a lot worse than his brother. floyd is annoying, he's frustrating at times, he can be a lot of handle at a given moment. but at least he's honest, and during his down times, he's actually incredibly fun to be around. im not saying jade isn't fun, but there is always this odd unpredictability with him. and when he drops his façade, he can actually be quite jarring and unsettling with minimal effort.
this is a facade riddle does not fall for. he knows jade isn't human, and he never forget it. he knows jade isn't a kind, generous little yes man for azul. and jade knows that he knows this-- which is really the core basis i have as to why they have this odd sort of friendship going.

jade was unaccustomed to having these one on ones with the headmaster. that was one of the few things he left to azul, as the dorm lead. so he's quite surprised to receive a request to come here. to have this conversation--- regarding students he had almost forgotten about entirely. that is to say, they were no longer an important issue for himself or azul... so? why think on them further?
he figures crowley is asking him as vice. but he can imagine trying to get anything out of floyd would go just a poorly. a lack of interest in the matter would leave his brother not unlike a brick wall. refusing to budge even a little regardless of what their headmaster had to say.
" complaints? " brows knit slightly, as if he's surprised to hear it. " i mean we do warn students that volunteer to work the lounge, that it isn't going to be easy. " raising a hand to tap curiously at his chin. " but i know little about anyone vanishing entirely, outside of moving, of course. perhaps they've done the same? i mean considering all the incidents that've occurred, i imagine plenty of parents are concerned. " eluding of course to the overblotting students every other month...

whats funny to me, is that floyd does have positive interactions with everyone. but he also has really negative ones too. he tends to be really blunt, kind of rude, and really in your face depending on his mood. and opinion and reaction varies a lot from each of the characters in the main cast.
in particular, he's known for his behavior towards riddle. who, if you do compare the two side by side-- is his antithesis in every single way. he does actually have a small handful of positive interactions with him too. but you gotta keep in mind that it's only relative to the negative ones. where he belittles riddle, and mocks him for things that are...really sore particulates of his character. i think people misconstrue this as a form of playful teasing? when i really don't see it as playful, but intentionally rude and even cruel at certain points. the game is a lot more lighthearted than the actual story and characters are. and the english translations are... hm.
floyd does express being impressed by how strong riddle is. but it's not coming from a respectful or kind place. he wants to fight people. eels in real life are actually VERY aggressive. during his beanfest vignette, he talks to epel about it. and how he wants to be stronger, strong enough to squeeze anyone. and honestly if he was capable of focusing himself, he might be one of the strongest people in the school. as jamil says during his P.E interactions. but he cant, he literally cannot control that part of himself, nor how his moods swing. and god damn guys, his UM is so strong, and SO underrated. and it's mostly because the guy can't be assed to care if he isn't in the mood. if he doesn't want to, he wont.
im getting off track though, the point is: i really think he sees riddle as nothing more than a target. when he's bored, its funny to poke at him, and have a laugh. to test the limits of what he can do. and once he's done he leaves, and riddle has to deal with the stress and frustration on his own. like people forget, riddle has gone to jade and asked him to make floyd stop. to do something about it.
his positive interactions with riddle, the very few we get. do not outweigh the rest. as someone who's been bullied, i've had good interactions with my bullies. but there was always this fear that i'd be subject to the bullying at any moment. it's much the same with riddle. and floyd being so unpredictable??? yeah no. a temporary lull or truce between them, doesn't make a basis for them to even be friends.
