Here’s a quick preview from the photoshoot we did on Saturday before the con!
You can’t tell me this isn’t the perfect cover for a bad romance novel.

Wait, wait…. Is that seriously it? How their clothes go?
that genuinely is it
yeah hey whats up bout to put some fucking giant sheets on my body
lets bring back sheetwares
When you’re carding, spinning and weaving everything from scratch, using the big squares exactly as they come off the loom must seem like a fucking brilliant idea. 90% (or more) of pre-14th century clothing is made purely on squares (and sometimes triangles cut from squares).
How did they get the fabric so fine it draped like that? Was that something medieval europe forgot? Or do I just have a completely misguided image of historical clothing?
Medieval Europe also had incredibly fine weaves, though the ancient world tended to have them beat. Linen was found in Egypt woven with a fineness that we’re still trying to replicate, and there was a kind of cotton woven in India called ‘woven wind’ that was supposedly still translucent at eight layers, and wool shawls so fine that the entire thing could be drawn through a wedding ring.
The way they could get away with pinking and slashing doublets in the 16th century was partially because the fabrics were so tightly woven that you could simply cut a line on the bias and nothing would fray.
Modern fabric machining sucks ass in terms of giving us any kind of quality like the kind human beings produced prior to the Industrial Revolution.

When leaving the Org
1.Realize that you CAN & WILL overcome the emotional distress you may initially feel upon learning the real truth
2.Come to terms with the fact that you may lose family and “friends”, this comes with the territory of knowing it’s a cult and ultimately wanting to leave.
3.Don’t try to forcefully wake family members from their cult indoctrination . As hard as it is, you have to realize the org is where they are comfortable and as much as you’d like to save them, they have to ultimately save themselves. Like that old saying “ you can take a horse to water but you can’t make them drink”.
4. Realize that it makes no sense stressing about things that are out of your control. You have to focus on YOURSELF and establishing your future. Finding out who you truly are and what you want to be.
5 Enjoy each day as much as you can. This reminds me of that quote from Troy were Brad Pitt says “The gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again.”
Enjoy this life and make the most of it.
This are my opinions but hopefully they help others.
Thank you @whytryu for the submission

Short term plot or dedicated NPC is a 6 month commitment. This will include the first weekender in September through February. Dedicated NPCs will be assigned recurring roles.
Utah LARP is currently accepting applications for those interested in assisting with creating and executing plots, as well as dedicated NPCs for the first arc of the new Rexerit campaign!
This is a great way to get involved with the game, even if you have no previous LARP experience.

A friend just perfectly encapsulated my feelings on player agency and why its so important.
“When LARP is escapism, it isn’t from being miserable, it’s from being helpless.”

The world of Rexerit plays host to over thirty different races and nationalities. The majority of the sentient inhabitants of the world are human, or at least appear human. However, that is not the case for all souled creatures who call Rexerit home.
The playable races and cultures for Rexerit are now available! From early primitive tribes to emerging clockwork technology, there's something to interest everyone.
Join us for the opening event for our new campaign with workshops, combat, and a tavern RP dinner.
Our campaign events for 2016 have been posted! Playtest and workshop dates are coming soon!
Playing around with a bunch of the random props I have sitting in the kitchen to get some more photos for the Utah LARP website.
LRP kit changes how you look – that’s its main purpose. You wear garb to look like you belong within the setting of your game. Most games produce briefs that tell you how to make your kit achieve this, and from these you can find out what clothes to wear to look like the thing …
LARP Guide published a great article on the importance of balancing your vision for a character's garb with the costume requirements for a game's setting.
