Honey, Honey (Marauders One Shot Head Canon)
**this story is based on the song Honey, Honey from Mamma Mia!, as well as a lovely animated video by @usu_mimi on tik tok**
The girls and Peter were scattered around the Gryffindor common room, the afternoon sunlight poured through the windows as they all hunched over their potions homework. Suddenly, there was a loud thud coming from the direction of the boys’ dormitories. Peter jumped nervously, and all the girls looked up. Lily put her face in her hands, “Oh, Godric, this better not be a prank,” Lily began, but just then, three lanky boys came tumbling into the common area. Sirius and Remus landed clumsily in a heap on the ground, while James jumped up and strode across the common room clearing his throat. He was about to read from what seemed to be a journal. All eyes were on him as he began, “Honey, honey, how he thrills me. Uh huh, honey, honey,” he jumped up on the couch and puffed his chest out, “Honey, Honey nearly kills me. Uh huh, honey, honey.” The girls giggled and crowded with James on the couch as Remus and Sirius wrestled on the ground. Finally, Sirius broke free and ran over to James, snatching the journal and reading from it, “I heard about him before, I wanted to know some more, and now I know what they mean,” Sirius raised his eyebrows suggestively, “he’s a love machine. Oh, he makes me dizzy!” Remus looked like he might die of embarrassment, “Oh, Merlin, give it back, Sirius!” Remus lunged and made a grab for the journal, but Sirius threw it back to James.
The girls were now fully invested. “I get it,” Mary said slyly, “We’re teasing Remus for being such a sop for his boyfriend.” Remus turned an unnatural shade of red as he looked around the room, deciding who to murder first. Before he could make a move, James had begun reading again, “Honey, honey let me feel it. Uh huh, honey, honey.” The girls began ooohing and ahhhing along to enhance the theatrics of the whole event. Remus ran his hands through his hair, looking defeated, “For fuck’s sake, don’t you girls get started.” Peter was eagerly reading the journal over James’s shoulder, “Honey, honey, don’t conceal it. Uh huh, honey, honey.” Remus buried his face in his hands and Sirius came round and pressed a quick kiss to the boy’s temple, before scampering out of his reach again. Remus looked up pleadingly at Lily, “Evans, please, help me out here.” However, Lily just smirked and walked up to James, plucking the journal from his hands, leaving James with a look of awe plastered on his face. “Oh, god,” Remus muttered. Much to his dismay, Lily jumped into his arms and began to read, “The way that you kiss goodnight, the way that you hold me tight,” Lily gave a knowing look to Marlene and Mary, and they got up and rushed to her side as she continued, “I feel like I wanna sing, when you do your…”
“…THING!” All three girls chorused and then collapsed into a fit of giggles. Remus took this opportunity to crouch into a ball on the floor and bury his head into his knees, “Put a silver axe to my throat.” What he didn’t notice, was that across the room, his boyfriend was looking at him like he was David Bowie himself. James slung his arm around Sirius and whispered, “You’re so whipped.” Sirius gave him a playful punch, but didn’t disagree, and he ran over to console his boyfriend.
