I began this game as an open-call participation event for fun in order to distract myself from some (tragically still ongoing) current events involving my family. I had only recently come back to Hetalia as my main fandom after taking a break for a few years, but I had become obsessed with the idea of giving back to the fandom and hosing fandom events. This was my way of testing the waters with a low stake, easy event to see if anyone would ever be interesting in something I had to offer, and I cannot express enough how much the response blew me away! During the duration of this game, I hosted and formatted 3 Hetalia zines (The World On A Plate and both rounds of Femme Phenomenon) and am currently running one to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this series! This game taught me a lot, and a lot of the skills i use for my zines now come from what I learned while hosting this game. But more than that, it is thanks to this game that I met and became close to some of my greatest and most precious friends, and helped give me confidence to put myself out there more in the fandom, which lead to to hosting zines and meeting even more amazing people who I hold so very dear. Once again, thank you so much to everyone who ended up completing their piece, and also to everyone who signed up but who ended up needing to drop out.
