okay i personally think the clown and the clerk are the same character and that like. the eyepatch signifies the clerk’s willingness to turn a blind eye to what draag is doing and just mindlessly comply with orders, especially if you consider the clown mouthing “i don’t wanna do this anymore, i wanna go home” at the end of the philly show. so when he takes the eyepatch off and “becomes” the clown it’s like.. that realization of guilt and feeling like a metaphorical clown for what he’s done. but that’s just my personal theory and i love hearing everyone else’s ideas:))
