      He hated himself for falling asleep in the middle of the day, out in the open like some sort of oblivious HUMAN without a care in the world – no matter how inviting the warmth of the sun had been atop his head and surrounding his body. The hanyou had only closed his eyes for a moment, then opening them at the precise moment he’d felt a presence. 

      Opening his eyes, he was met with a pair of great, red - red as only his robe could be- and stark white hair… That which could only belong to a demon. Only too late, however, was this presence hovering over him, startling him. And in his great surprise,  he sprang up, headbutting them fiercely, his cheeks heating up along with his temper. 

               “GA H!! What - why’dyou gotta, gotta look at people so close fer, huh!” 

                     despite being a hanyou, her pain tolerance was next to none. as their foreheads made contact, she flung herself back, falling back hard on her bottom and instinctively scooting a safe distance away from the other.   ❛   ACK!! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?! YOU’RE HEAD IS AS HARD AS A ROCK, YOU DUMMY!!!   ❜

                      there was a short moment of silence followed by a soft ‘eep’ and the frenzied urge to repeat ‘i’m sorry i’m sorry’ over and over again until she could no longer breath. her cheeks flared an uncontrollable pink, either from her outburst or the embarrassment of being caught. in all honesty, she thought he was in a deep enough slumber where he might not sense her presence, but she now realized what a foolish thought that was. she had seen him battling another youkai earlier from her spot in the shadows and was mesmerized. she still had stars in her eyes by the time she spotted him lying freely on the grass and couldn’t help but want to get a closer look at the boy. she never thought such a harmless act would turn out such a way.
