               He understood perfectly what was happening, not that it was any different than any other person who has criticized him. Their values, their perspectives were different. They will never come to agreement, which was fine, after all they should have freedom to disagree. However…

Children should have the freedom                                to choose, to make mistakes, to have the ability to learn. But please                                understand that my son and I are much like the princess in your story…

                               …should we gain freedom, countless of innocent lives will be lost                                 for our own selfishness. With power comes both obligations and                                 consequences, use it wrongly and there can be a catastrophe.”

                 And he was finished as that was all he had to say. He understood her side, he even agreed to it. It was something he wished dearly for Adrien, but they were not like other people. Their mistakes cannot be erased, what they do will affect so many people that it would be devastating should something happen. And just like the princess, a war could start and lives will be lost due to innocent selfishness. Was a single girl’s love really worth a war?

❛❛ i do have one last question for you sir, are you comparing your son to you? because it seems like you have experience in this. of freedom causing something you never wanted to happen. maybe it hurt you, maybe it caused you to lose something you loved. is that why you are scared to let him go? are you afraid that freedom will take him from you as well? -- i don’t think it will. adrien is smart, he doesn’t want to use his power, his role in life for anything. he just wants to spend time with his friends ... maybe if you are to afraid to let him go, you could let them in. it would make him happier than he is now .❜❜

she could be overstepping her boundaries , she knows .though she can’t help it, her motherly instinics are still there even if her own daughter is currently years in her future. one she has no memory of . she can’t stop wanting to care for adrien . someone who seemed to be so alone, it hurt her .

lost mamoru, the girls, how many times she’s been without them. how many times she’s seen them die in front of her, seen them say things about her when under control. how many times she’s had to fight against them

yet she continues to see a bright outlook

she’s lost her friends countless times ( a few times seeing them die in front of her eyes ) she’s faced people who wanted to kill her all for a crystal people who have killed her in the past people that have used her daughter against her people who have destroyed planets who have killed thousands humans don’t scare her anymore. 

         :: Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ :: – He listened to her words, and he understood them perfectly. There was something about parenting that he needed to balance, to let people make their mistakes and let people learn from them. He understood that is how people learned, how they improve…however that was for the masses. As much as it pains him to say it…they were Agrestes, they were not human. They were leaders who will rise and fall with their nation, they could not be normal…it was their sacrifice, to give their soul to their people.

                  The last part was something many people could not understand, after all freedom was something that everyone wants. It was a right many people in this day in age believe was god given. And yes, they were all free…but to progress there were limitations. The higher up in status, the more constraints and chains you are given.                    Money, status, luxury, the easy life..those were facades of what happens behind the scenes. It was a dirty world up at the top, a disgusting place that few people ever want to join…the wrong move, the wrong words, the wrong action and you’ll be dead. No. That was a blessing to be killed. You’ll be destroyed, tortured endlessly, and left suffering until you finally take your last breath…

                               “…but I will remember your words Miss. But I’ll tell you that in my                                 son’s world, freedom will be his downfall if he does not tread the                                 waters carefully. Just as constraints has been your downfall more                                 than once.”

     ❛❛ there’s a legend, where i live. a myth, a story. about a young princess . a princess            who was kept on a tight chain by a mother who wanted her to learn to be a proper            queen. a mother who was to afraid to let her go. yet the princess wanted freedom,            she wanted to live, to learn, to explore. so she ran from her kingdom to a place she            was not suppose to go. ❜❜

     ❛❛ and she fell in love with a prince, she was finally happy with her freedom. though it             didn’t last long. as the story goes a woman got jealous, that the prince had fallen for             a princess who was not like them -- started a war between their kingdoms. killed             the prince, the princess died soon after and their history was forever lost.  ❜❜

her expression turns sad as she looks back to him, something not often seen with the girl. she was constantly happy, smiling, always the one to look for the good in a situation .

         :: Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ :: – Gabriel’s eyes drifted down towards the young girl, hands folded behind his back as he often was seen doing. An eyebrow rose at her comment, honestly he has been accused of being the worst father - especially by his own wife. If he had a penny for every time he heard that line…

                                “Thank you for the compliment, my wife would tell me                                   that everyday when she was here. But do tell me, what                                  makes me such a horrible father?”

                Rare was it for someone to actually stand up to him, something he admired in anyone really. He was an intimidating man by sheer height size, also given his status, history, and overall stoic nature…not many dared to even speak to him. It was…refreshing.

eyes drift to where adrien went moments ago, thinking over how she could word her next statement correctly. she had never been good with words, that had always been rei’s job, or ami’s. usagi wasn’t smart, she wasn’t able to explain to someone something she thought without slipping over her words 

   she was going to try harder today.

     ❛❛ i believe you think you are doing what’s best for him. trying to show him the ‘ real world ‘             that you don’t always get what you want. however, he is a child. children need to be free,             not constantly worked, not constantly at home. they need time out with friends, they need             to grow on their own and not be constantly pushed to what their parents want. i’m not a mother ,             yet . though i know how it is to be pushed away from freedom ... and it’s caused my downfall a             many of times. ❜❜

     ❛❛ to be blunt. ❜❜

she pauses to place her hands in front of her , standing straight and tall. she hadn’t even expected to meet his father. she was just here to wait for her fiancé to pick her up after the modeling shoot.  however that wouldn’t cause the girl to stand down. she had faced things that were far more terrifying than him.

After hearing Usagi say she needed a while, the former Rabbit Goddess nodded. “If you need any support, you know where to find me.” Kaguya replied taking in the scenery of Tokyo as she wanted to get her mind off what happened and how she survived Galaxia’s wrath, but that was for another time.

“I hope you don’t mind me staying here from now on Usagi. After everything that happened, I feel hiding is no longer an option. I want to be here for everyone and support them to the best of my ability, besides I still need to atone for my past misdeeds, and doing my best to integrate into life in Tokyo is a start, but also regaining social skills, which I sorely lack.” Kaguya mused before laughing at the thought.

she only smiles at the joke , before leaning back against the railing to stare up at the sky. it was , so odd knowing that they could live normal lives now. no more fighting, no more death. just normal lives as high school students heading off to college in only a few years time . she didn’t know how to deal with it .

“Darkness…”

It wasn’t the first time that she had heard such a phrase uttered - the darkness in people’s hearts. It… was something that seemed like it should have been obvious to her, and yet just let the Unicorn feel a bit befuddled and confused. Whatever it was supposed to mean…

“I don’t understand.” An admittance she had no qualms in saying. “Humans can be complicated, but they are just human at heart.”

Perhaps that…? Only made it worse. Immortal creatures could use such mystical excuses as darkness for their behaviors, but humans only had themselves to fall back on.

     ❛❛ i like to think of it like ... humans are born pure . born with no hatred in           them but as we grow we learn . some of us manage to keep hatred from           our hearts . we have those around us who teach us to be good to everyone .           some of us are not that lucky, we learn to hate, to judge . some can go back           and forth depending on where their life takes them . ❜❜

‘   MAYBE WE CAN MAKE A STUDY GROUP .   there’s always tutoring too .   i think i could help some kids ,  with everything except spanish ,  i’m still learning that one myself .   i’ve always loved school ,  but it did get a little more challenging now in high school .   ’

she smiles softly towards the other , before leaning back with a small sigh . she never thought she’d be the one explaining how school could get . though she probably understood the situation better than her friends .

Usagi’s words were meant to help Kaguya worry less, but they only succeeded in making her concerned because how empty the words felt. She was usually a ball of sunshine and it broke Kaguya’s heart seeing Usagi like this as she would hover closer before embracing the younger woman much like a mother did with their children.

“I know you’re lying Usagi. I can sense your feelings and how troubled they are. You want to be that big ball of sunshine in front of everyone, but you don’t have to, not in front of me. I know what happened is traumatic, but if you hold it in, it’ll only get worse. I am not going to be like Naruto and demand you talk about it, but know I am here for you, and you can take as long as you need to let it out.” She whispered comforting Usagi by stroking her hair.

     ❛❛ i’m not lying . i mean what i say kaguya . i feel blank . i don’t really have           a reaction to everything that just happened . i need a while to go over           everything before i can try to speak about it so i don’t say things that           i regret .  ❜❜
