Every 10 years the sims 2 community has a catastrophic burning of the library of alexandria event and losing GoS is particularly ridiculous but people are literally already updating links so I really want to thank those of you who make us The Community That Relentlessly Archives EVERYTHING because at this point "the sims 2 community" would simply not exist without those efforts and if anybody ever gets on your case again about scraping through CC archives like a rat in a dumpster you should bite them and give them the plague.
So, Justin's left for uni, Marissa is having a Not Midlife Bc She's 3 Days Away From Aging Up Crisis, and we've officially finished ONE FAMILY IN BELLADONNA. IT ONLY TOOK 3 YEARS OF FIGHTING THE PINK SOUP.
Full disclosure the Clevelands and the next 3 families after them were rounds that I managed to photograph during The Pink Soup Fight. So there's the occasionalll glitch or incredibly specific problem, and fewer photos than normal because I was Not In The Mood and fighting for my life just to run the game at the time. You'll see when we get to the Newsons, very little happens because playing the game felt like trying to walk in the snow in flip flops holding fine china with a sniper rifle trained on me.

Jason: ... Look, I really am sorry I hurt you. Honestly I thought you'd just be glad to be rid of me. Marissa: Oh come now, what about Justin? Jason: I- I love Justin. But I knew if I talked to you, you'd talk over me until I gave in and stayed and I- I couldn't. I had to go. And then I was going to call you but I got so distracted with Armand... Get your things and leave. Jason: OK. Marissa: I won't talk to Justin, you can do that. He's old enough to make his own decisions.
Jason: ... Right. Well. Uh. Stay safe. Marissa: You too. Don't tr.... Jason: What? Marissa: Nothing. It doesn't matter.

Marissa: I don't even know what to say to you. Jason: Me... W-well me neither! Marissa: You- You walk out on us, and then send me your demands through some terribly offensive lady when I'm trying to shop?! Pick up a phone! Send an email! Jason: I wanted to but... you're terrifying, Marissa. Marissa: Terrifying?! We're grown adults! We have a SON who just left for COLLEGE. We talk things out!
Jason: What was there to talk about? You and I both knew I didn't really- Marissa: I THOUGHT we made an agreement together. I thought a son and several years of marriage earned me a little more than a disappearing act. If you'd just told me you needed your... flings. Jason: And risk the family name? You'd never have agreed and I would have just accepted it. Like I accept everything. Marissa: You are NOT going to blame YOUR unhinged behaviour on me. Jason: You're not getting it. There was no way to talk this out. I lied to myself for so long, I missed out on so much and suddenly I was losing Armand and I couldn't do one more DAY living a lie.
Marissa: Oh boo hoo, Jason had to live in a nice apartment with a family instead of above an illegal bar with men quite literally coming and going. How could he possibly have survived ONE MORE HOUR to tell his wife where he was going? Won't SOMEBODY weep for the tragedy of his life! Jason: Why does it matter?! It's over! Okay?! It's over! Marissa: Of COURSE it's over I never want to see your face again you-
Marissa: ... It really is over, isn't it? Jason: ....

Jason shows up just as the sun sets. Seeing him in person again, Marissa is so furious she wonders how she ever cared about him.

Jodie: C'mon I've only known him for a season and even I know he's chickenshit. Marissa: Goodness. He's been staying with YOU? All season? Jodie: Ehhh more like he's staying with my brother and I can't keep him out because the lock is busted.

My husband is- Landlady: Is Bella Goth-ing you yeah, the papers don't shut up about it. There's no rent discount for missing spouses. Marissa: You-!!!! ... Take your money. Justin's attempts to "lay low" and avoid the Capps don't go well. Ariel Capp comes home from school with him to harass him about his intentions with her big brother some more. As a dutiful Watcher I usually refrain from directly commenting on story updates, but Vivian heart-farting over Armand, Armand putting the moves on Kimberly in the hot tub, Armand having the audacity to show up to the party... this man has been a MENACE to the uberhood since the day he first darkened Regan Capp's doorway and hit on her. He's seeing both the Cordial twins, he's seeing Jason, he's still carrying a torch for Regan, he has EXCLUSIVELY pursued married sims or sims who are related to each other at the same time.
He's actually worse than Don Lothario and I will never be able to play him any other way. I don't know if he's a malicious manipulator or just kind of a flirty guy who makes bad choices. It's amazing. It's entirely the game.

Hi! Just finished a reread of your uberhood and I think I know why Pacifica the Cowplant refuses to eat sims. Apparently, EA removed the ability to kill visiting playables in Seasons. There is a mod on modthesims called Kill Visiting Playables that should fix the issue if you want.
Taking advantage of being able to use my inbox to say thank you anon! I never downloaded this in the end BC I'm kind of just attached to the idea now that olive has the one vegan cowplant in the world now. I love it and I need to go back and tag her posts Pacifica. So she's just going to be a family pet. If I can figure out a way to build it nicely I actually want to move her to the front yard when I switch up olive's house a bit so Pluto can play with her.
so excited to see you back :) I've been a big fan of your uberhood for years now. you're one of my favorite storytellers in this fandom. the way you write character dialogue and set up this sprawling plot that connects such a huge cast is really inspiring!
AWWWWW DHDHSHS thank you so much!!! Uberhood feels more out of control than Ever right now I'm ngl a lot of things happened to the Clevelands outside of their round so dragging everything back together has felt like I'm going insane DGSHSGSG. I don't think I could have Sims 2 any other way though even if sometimes I wish I could just focus on tycutio or the goth storylines I wait years to drop.
