Darry

- he was a big baby and a big kid. When soda was first born their parents had to hold him like five feet away so he wouldn’t crush him with hugs

- was a bully when he was small lol. He would shove other kids because he was always the biggest in his grade

- his dad found out and made him apologize ofc, darry is still embarrassed about that

Soda

- darry thought he was the cutest baby ever. When twobit came over to meet soda, he was a little too rough and darry bit him

- ofc he was the biggest sweetheart as a kid. He met Steve in kindergarten and forced him to be his bestie

- always followed darry and twobit around

Pony

- a shy kid, ofc.

- he would read his little baby books when soda and darry took him to the park. He didn’t want to make friends until he was older

- when he was first born twobit said he was ugly. Darry chased him around the yard

Two bit

- adrenaline junkie child. He didn’t play pretend, he just went as fast as he could on the merry go round until he fell asleep

- hung out with darry since he was a baby because Mrs. Curtis babysat him. They were very good friends as kids because of this

- also hung out with Tim in grade school, still considers Tim to be his buddy

Steve

- his mom died when he was like two months old so he was not a happy baby. He has no baby pictures

- loved cars even as a kid, Mr. Curtis gave him a toy car, and since Steve didn’t have toys at home, he treasured it so much. It led to an obsession

- when soda first brought him home after they met, darry made him cry. Steve thought pong was cute until pony called him “stebe”. Then he hated him

Johnny

- his parents actually really loved him when he was a baby (and didn’t have opinions or thoughts)

- it was when he got older that they started hating him. He practiced being quiet so they wouldn’t find him annoying anymore

- joined the gang in sixth grade when he got held back and pong got bumped up. Pong basically dragged him to his house

Dally

- his mom was OBSESSED when he was born. She took like a million pictures. Dally doesn’t know this. His dad still has these, and keeps one in his wallet for some reason.

- dally was a tiny kid and got picked on a lot. His dad taught him how to throw a punch and it all went downhill from there.

- joined the Curtis gang when he was 14 and befriended soda.

Tim

- a very good baby! He was the perfect child, it tricked his mom into thinking children were easy.

- like, literally an Angel. He would give him mom drawings and flowers. He always got his cheeks pinched by old ladies, everyone thought he was adorable

- ofc his dad died when he was six and his mom got all depressed after that, so he had to raise angela and curly. He grew out of being a sweet little baby

Angela

- horrible baby! Screeched like a banshee! Her mom was so confused because Tim never did that

- ofc she was a girly girl, she wanted dolls and stuff for Christmas. She used to walk around in her moms heels

- doesn’t remember her dad, but the way tim describes him makes her wish she did.

Curly

- major oops baby! Result of an affair! His mom did t even know she was pregnant until the day he was born

- he was like angela but even worse because he wasn’t planned. Tim and Angela’s dad knew he wasn’t his but had to take care of him anyways because his mom refused to

But!!

Tim is the oldest, when he’s like three, Angela is born, when Angela is 10 months old, curly is born.

Tim was excited for Angela, as any three year old getting a new baby sibling would be, but was NOT happy when curly was born (curly was a surprise baby lmao)

Angela and curly are super close though and often leave tim out of stuff. They share a bedroom (their house has two bedrooms and nobody wants to share a room with their mom and stepdad ofc) and often cover for each other when one wants to do bad things

Tim sleeps on the couch in the living room because he doesn’t have a bed

Tim looks like his dad, Angela looks like a mix between their dad and their mom, curly (affair baby) looks like their mom.

And yes, curly is an affair baby lolol.

Curly’s real name is Robert but nobody is allowed to call him that because he hates it. Tim calls him that when he’s being a little monster

“Robert Joseph Shepard get over here!” And stuff like that

Tim flips between “I don’t care what they do, I’m their brother not their dad.” And “HOW DARE THEY DO THAT!” He is confused on his role. He has not accepted the “parent” role as much as darry has, but he does know that he’s the only one available for them

Bryon was actually Angela’s first bf 🤭 she got a little cocky when she broke up with him for pony. She still likes him

Tim dates both dally and Sylvia on and off but only actually likes dally. (He’s gay but too stubborn to realize)

Curly has a huge crush on dally, bryon and soda (dumb gay 💔) he doesn’t talk to Tim about it, only angela

Angela (like soda becuase I think the idea of them being a foil to the curtis family is funny) is the bridge between Curly and Tim. She is bffs with curly, but she can talk to Tim without pissing him off.

Tim jokes about hating curly. Curly thinks he’s serious. Tim has no clue. Angela knows both sides and thinks it’s funny

Curly is very touchy, he’s got to be holding onto someone at all times. Tim is incredibly touch averse (unless it’s fighting) because if this, Tim gets curly a cat.

(The cats name is Batman because curly really likes Batman. The cat is a girl)

Angela is a really good singer!! She sings all the time and it drives everyone else nuts

They all hate their stepdad Jerry. For good reason. Jerry is an asshole who claims to own the house (it’s their mothers house. Jerry is a leech) he kicks tim out randomly.

Also it’s Curly’s fault jerry is their stepdad because when he was a little tot he ran off and met Jerry. Jerry thought he was cute and flirted with their mom.

Tim, when he decides to be a “parent” is super strict. Like, curly and Angela get chores to do, they aren’t allowed to stay out at all, they aren’t allowed to go anywhere without permission. Which isn’t strict but for them it is.

He gets really bored after about a week every time and gives up. This is a monthly thing

Another monthly thing tim does is get really religious randomly. This usually is at the same time as his “parent” phase. He starts making them go to church on Sunday and pray and stuff.

Curly and Angela HATE it. Tim is the only religious one. He is such a bad catholic 😩

Angela calls curly her baby brother because he hates it

Tim is a super sappy drunk, so even though he rarely gets drunk, when he does he comes home and hangs out with them. Curly and Angela just deal with it

Mexican shepards truther bc imagine tim saving up enough to afford a (small) quince for angela and she gets to have a night that isn't about boys that isn't about looking her best for someone else that isn't about having to go and seek attention and affection bc literally the night is hers (ilysm angela shepard u will ALWAYS be loved by me)

-Him and Angela used to go ‘swimming’ in the ditch when it rained and Tim always got SO pissed

-Him and Ponyboy share music and it’s the worst music in the universe and everyone else in both the Shepard and Curtis gang refuse to ever let them control the record player, cassette, or radio

-Was that kid who could not handle red dye in his food and whose parents could not care less so my guy was tweaking in his first grade classroom

-Angela once dared him to eat grass and he did

-He is good at flirting to distract someone or get out of trouble or to look tuff but HORRENDOUS at flirting with someone he’s actually interested in so for a while before him and Pony got together his behaviour was strange af

-Angela once dared him to moon a Jehovah’s Witness who kept coming to their door and he did

-Marlboros are kind of considered ‘girly’ cigarettes in Tulsa but they’re Curly’s favourite until he gets together with Ponyboy who converts him to liking Kools best (because Pony always smells like Kools and they’re the only kind he ever has on him and Curly isn’t gonna smoke his own cigs when he can steal his boyfriends so)

-Angela once dared him to snort pudding powder and he did. He had to mouth breathe for three days until all the pudding was gone but he swears he met god himself and that it was worth it

-Not a fan of any sort of physical contact, partially because he’s used to contact meaning pain, and partially because he just doesn’t like it. He’ll allow a hug from Angela when he gets home from the reformatory, and he used to hold her hand when they were little and one of them was upset, but usually the only person he actually likes to touch him is Ponyboy

-Angela once dared him to climb a telephone pole and he did and he broke his arm in three places and Tim was pissed

-He goes to track practices to support Ponyboy but it’s less support and more living heckling. If anyone else joins in on the heckling though, Curly throws hands. After the third fight Curly got banned from spectating on any school sporting events or practices so now he stands just off school property and throws gravel at the track team when they run past

-Angela once dared him to shave off both of his eyebrows and he did and then they grew back SUPER thick

-He used to bait alley cats into fighting each other until he got invited to a chicken fight by one of the guys in the Shepard gang and realised it was SO much better to watch

-Angela once dared him to rob a liquor store and he did. Tim made Angela stop giving him dares after that.

the scene where her hair gets cut is so scary to me. Imagine waking up in your front lawn, your makeup running down your face and then next to you is your hair tied together into a clump. Years of memories and hard care seem to be gone. She has lost her last good memory of Bryon at this moment.
