Former UCLA basketball player Jalen Hill dies at 22 Jalen Slope, who played ball at UCLA for three seasons until leaving last year for individual reasons, has kicked the bucket, as indicated by his family and the college. He was 22. His family posted on Instagram on Tuesday that Slope had kicked the bucket subsequent to disappearing in Costa Rica. No further subtleties were given. Slope was a star at Centennial Secondary School in Crown, driving the Huskies to the CIF Southern Segment Provincial Division I title game as senior in 2017. He was positioned as the No. 47 player broadly in his secondary school class by ESPN. Slope's mentor at Crown Centennial said he was crushed to learn of his previous player's demise. "He was an incredible young fellow. I drove him to school each of the four years since he lived in the neighborhood," mentor Josh Giles told NBCLA. "I invested a ton of energy with him. "He was an incredible youngster, here and there the court. He made astonishing commitments to the school and to the program. I have only magnificent comments about him." Previous UCLA partner men's ball mentor David Beauty enlisted Slope. "I'm simply squashed to hear the death of Jalen Slope," prayed. "Was consistently a delight to be near. I cherished our discussions while selecting him and training him. Continuously had an incredible grin. This damages." New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday accused former President Donald Trump of massive fraud in a civil lawsuit following a three year inquiry into the finances of the family business. James said Trump "falsely inflated his wealth by billions of dollars" to enrich himself and his family. "There aren't two sets of laws for people in this nation," James said. "Former presidents must be held to the same standards as everyday Americans." Blue tarps are draped over thousands of homes, structures in need of repair still dot the island, and power outages remain persistent. As Hurricane Fiona bore down on Puerto Rico this week, residents of the U.S. territory in the Caribbean didn’t have to look far for reminders of the last great storm to hit the area, exactly five years ago. The deadliest natural disaster in Puerto Rico in 100 years, Hurricane Maria killed roughly 3,000 people and destroyed the electrical system. Though Fiona made landfall as a Category 1 storm, the damage it wrought even before it struck – including the loss of power and potable water – was a grim reminder of why, for many of the island’s residents, Maria marked a distinct before and after in their lives. For many Puerto Ricans, the blackout that accompanied Fiona brought back memories of the dark months after Hurricane Maria hit on Sept. 20, 2017, as a Category 4 storm. It took almost a year to completely restore power across the island, and the blackout would become the largest in U.S. history and second-largest in the world, according to the Rhodium Group, a policy analysis firm. A growing U.S. shortage of Adderall, a prescription drug taken to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, has spread to two more makers of the drug. Lannett Co. and Par Pharmaceuticals are the most recent companies experiencing with limited supplies of generic extended-release Adderall, according to the University of Utah Pharmacy Services website, which tracks drug shortages nationwide. Adderall has often been in short supply over recent years. The most recent issue started with a labor shortage in August at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., the nation’s leading seller of instant-release Adderall, Bloomberg reported.
