''what if you regret it'' then you will expirience regret - a normal and unavoidable part of the human expirience.

I had wanted to go to pride for years but could never manage to travel to a city since I still spent my summers in my small town, first in high school and then throughout college. Towards the end of my college tenure, I was finally able to go to my first pride. And it was the day of the Pulse massacre. We heard rumblings through pride and thought the shooting had happened at ours. The mixture of relief it wasn't here and the grief about what had happened shaped the rest of the day.
Selfishly, I was so angry that the one day we had been fighting for years to have, my friends and I, was soured by the bitter reminder that people wanted us dead for this. I was reminded by counter-protesters. I was reminded on my way back to my hometown. I was upset we couldn't have a few hours to pretend that things were safe.
In the following days, I was devastated how the conversation shifted from that moment. When a Muslim could be pointed to as responsible, all the white supremacists who cheered on queer death suddenly made grand speeches about needing to "hold the monster who did this accountable." I was angry that people took the bait and accepted allyship from people who never gave a fuck about queer people. Just hated Muslims.
I'm thinking of that a lot as the playbook repeats itself in Berlin. First, the utter delight from queerphobes that some of us are dead, then, the stoic sense of "justice" and the determined hunt to "find the monster who did this."
Berlin is a very international city. It has a lot of migrants. It has a vibrant multicultural community. There is little doubt that many Muslims were marching in the very pride that was attacked. A good number of my European queer friends are Muslim. And this attack is being framed as two opposing sides. Muslim vs Queer. As if we aren't both attacked by the same people.
Whatever continues to come out about the driver, we are not opposed communities. I am devastated for the people who were hurt, the person who was killed, and their loved ones. I am also devastated for every Muslim queer person, who in grieving this attack are once again treated as suspect, often also by non-Muslim white queers.
My heart is with all of you.
I hope that Islamophobia one day stops being an easy-to-reach for tool to weaponize in grief. I hope that people will unlearn their racist impulse to point to an other as the cause of their suffering, when the circumstances that allow for atrocities like these are enabled in plain sight by the fascist governments that coddle bigots and stoke the flames of hatred among similarly-oppressed people.

FFS today was Berlin Pride, and a car drove into a crowd at the closing rally. Several people were injured the driver (apparently) fled the scene. WTF, are we nowhere safe from hate?
I'm sick to my stomach.

1 year anniversary feels weird...in a good way. just happy that I made the decision to fuck around and find out to find out I'm more happy now
got used to going to the men's bathroom (well at least at work) but going to the men's changing room (for sports) for the first time yesterday really got me scared. Didn't shower there and I don't see myself doing that so soon.
I'm not much for anniversaries and or celebrating things because it often feels like forcing emotions that I don't feel on my own. But I had a busy day today with almost no one knowing that this day was today and maybe that was good because that meant people didn't congratulate me so I didn't feel like I have to feel things I don't feel and then feel bad because of that.
Anyway I did get a pizza to celebrate and am watching ds9 rn :)
hrt diary - 1 YEAR!! (2 pumps testogel: 40.50 mg)
Emotions / mood:
definitely more chill, confident, and happy :)
Libido:
jup. it's definitely there lmao. fun to experience as an aroace person
Skin:
spots appeared mainly on the upper back. not that much on the face. back was worst during top surgery recovery and is maybe fingers crossed now slowly getting better
Body hair:
hairy legs, two or three darker ones on shoulder area, also some random on cheeks; t mustache is real and so is the hairy lower belly
I realised I really like most of it. the only thing I don't like so far is the few random ones on the shoulder area
Bottom growth:
yo got bigger but like I didn't feel anything
Muscles / strength:
I guess I got more muscles but I do workout so yeah I guess t helps but without working out idk how much would have changed
Body shape / fat distribution:
I just really like my thighs more lol idk if they got more muscles but it just feels more masculine muscle legs to me than female fat upper legs if you know what I mean
in general I find it very hard to say that I look more masculine because even before I detached myself so much from gender that I also didn't see my face as feminine
Period:
I lost it after around 2 or 3 months at the same time that I went from 1 to 2 pumps testogel
Voice (Pitch):
Average: 118.9 Hz; before: 202.7
Median: 115.6 Hz; before: 199.1
Max: 136.8 Hz; before: 246.9
Min: 101.5 Hz; before: 175.5
(unlike the other entries this is not be a monthly comparison but compared to before t)
